And everybody's ancestors were immigrants. People born here aren't.

My ancestors came here from Italy 3 generations ago. They got on a ship, spent a couple of weeks enduring tough conditions to get here, spent weeks at Ellis Island, were processed through the system and became American Citizens. They worked hard, contributed to society, went to church, raised a family, paid taxes and voted in elections. That is how it is supposed to work. There is a huge difference between an immigrant and an illegal alien who snuck across our border, don't pay taxes, work off the books, get free medical care, have no insurance, take advantage of public schools and programs and are a drain on the already fragile system that sustains this great country. Does anyone really think that you should or would be allowed to just walk into Mexico and live there with No Passport, No Identification, No Documented Employer and get free food and medical and social services???? No you would be arrested, you would be lucky to be deported. I live in Texas, I have many Mexican friends and co-workers, I travel to Mexico on vacation, I even speak a little Spanish "hola"... I love Mexico, I don't have a problem with Mexicans.... If the same issues we are currently having was taking place on the Canadian border the outcry from responsible concerned Americans would be exactly the same.

The Native Americans migrated across the Behring Strait so they must have taken the land over from whoever was here before them.Nobody is denying that everyone was an immigrant at some point.Everyone is angry because people are immigrating illegally and the government basically condones it.

Why don't YOU see that the issue is with illegals? There is no such thin as in "illegal immigrant", they are illegal aliens. You can go back as far as you want, but every society had laws of some kind. Here today illegal aliens are breaking the law and should either be jailed or deported. Any company that hires illegals should face similar prosecution. As for this bullstuffing that they do jobs Americans won't...it's a lie. What job does an illegal do that an American isn't already doing? NONE! Fewer Americans are doing some jobs because they can not AFFORD to do them, not because they won't. Illegals will work for less, they cost employers less in taxes and benefits. If an illegal gets sick or hurt, they can got to the emergency room of a hospital. What does that cost them? $0 in most cases. Your average American does not receive a similar benefit. Illegals are neither needed or wanted by the American public. Some employers may want them to increase profits, some politicians may want them so they can score some political points, but that will soon backfire on them.
Understand there is no "hate" for immigration or immigrants. The is definitely no love for criminals though.

Just because my ancestors were immigrants doesn't mean I am one. My earliest ancestor came in 1597 and the lastest to emigrate was in 1879. Others came in between those years. They all came legally by the laws at the time. They learned English, those that did not already speak English, and they contributed to the culture we call American.

By the way those natives you speak of came from somewhere else too. 10 to 15 thousand years ago they came across a land bridge from Asia into the Americas.

A long time ago this was a different world .
Look at Mexico , there were people that came from Europe and conquered the natives in their land .
It has happened to every country in the world . There is no unconquered land now and all land belongs to some country .
All countries have borders and are sovereign to their people .
In today's world if you try to take over another country , without that country's permission , that's WAR !!!!
YOU DON'T SEEM TO INDERSTAND HISTORY

I do understand that everyone is (or is a descendant of) an immigrant from somewhere else, depending on how far back you want to go. I only know my genealogy for three generations, so that includes China, Italy, and Germany.

But going back further, THOSE ancestors could have immigrated to China, Italy, and Germany from elsewhere. My family's records aren't kept well enough to investigate that.

If you're trying to tie this back to illegal immigration, try another approach. To my knowledge, all my ancestors were legal immigrants (according to US law at the time). My brother and I were born here, so he and I are Americans, not immigrants.

So, that is an excuse as to why Mexicans can't do it legally? Give me a break. If you're born here, you're a citizen.

Our ancestors may be immigrants. Fine. I'll give you that.

... But YOUR ancestors got their *sses whipped for this land, and that's life. That's what happened, and in case you haven't noticed, that's the way that the world works.

If you want America back so badly, I suggest you try to fight for it. We had to. What makes your people any different? People fight for land and territory, and have been since the beginning of time.

Even the most liberally minded among us, who want the illegals too stay, must harden their hearts towards people who would hold a women captive for the sole purpose of sexually servicing
up to 46 men a night.
I wish I was kidding. Their suffering is unimaginable.
So why did illegals protest these arrests?
Could they possibly want the America I live in if they do not support the law in a heinous case like
this?
Why didn't they turn them in themselves?

Why do so many not understand that the law is what makes this country work?

Uh, no, I am NOT an immigrant. I was born and raised in this country. I don't care what my ancestors did, they don't have any barring on what is happening today in the USA.
