If the job is reporting to you then it would be an inappropriate reporting structure becuse it would not be fair to other employees. If it is just with your same company, tell him that it is not worth the risk to your relationship if things didn't work out at the job, unless you want to ditch him and if that is the case you have the option of a 2 for 1 special :-)

A Job from you? Tell him flat out that he is not qualified or fit. Would you want him working around you all day anyways? I learned my lesson with that one and my woman and I aggreed to never work in the same place ever again.

First of all, he shouldn't be asking you for a job, he should find his own way. You can be nice and tell him that you don't think it would be good for your relationship if you mix business with pleasure.

not an easy task!!

however, be very firm and present him with the requirements for the job. you have to treat this as you would any other employment applicant. he may then realize that he is not qualified to do that type of work.

maybe help him search for something more suitable to his current experiences, or suggest that he get new or additional training to qualify for other types of employment.

You could be honest and tell him.You could also tell him that the position has been filled or that you don't want to mix business with pleasure if it doesn't work out.

Tell him you do not feel he would be a good fit for the job. Better have some specifics ready when he asks you.

Dump him and find one qualified. Why are you going out with some guy who has to beg you for a job. Gotta be a loser.
