I know it would be bad if you do it all the time. But what about just once or twice with my eyes closed of couse. Would the rays still go through my eye lids or something? I want to tan where the goggles cover too....

Yes, the rays will go through your lids. Yes, it is bad not to wear goggles. Once or twice shouldn't hurt you, but you really should shell out the $3 and buy a pair, or at least, use the stickers if you are afraid of tan lines

Yes - it is extremely bad for you!!! It can cause eye damage that doesn't show up for years. Wear the goggles that limit the rays, not the kind that create a mark from wearing them. The UV rays penetrate your eye lids easily because your eye lid is very thin and doesn't protect your eye very well. Make sure you wear some type of goggle. Be safe. It's not worth eye damage down the road!

You really shouldn't. The goggles protect your eyes from the UV rays of the tanning bed. Try using a self tanner where the goggles cover, just be careful not to get it IN your eyes.

Its cool that you want to tan and i think that guys who tan are hot but your right it dosent make sence to have a guy to have a tan every where else but your eyes. I mean thats where most people look at when there talking to you wright well i think it will be ok but if your really worried ask your people at the tanning salon and they will tell you weather or not you can do that. Hope this helps.

honestly, i don`t know anyone that uses the goggles & i`ve been tanning in the beds for more than 15 years...the salons have to make u sign the paper agreeing to use them in case of a lawsuit, but no one goes by that...i never use them...

Yes because your eye lids do not protect your eyes from the UV rays which can cause burns on your cornea and could cause cataracts.

It's bad to tan PERIOD! I read an article in cosmo about melanoma. If you read up on that, you would be stupid to continuing tanning. If you get skin cancer you will be scarred for life from all the surgeries you will have to have in order to survive.

Hmmmmm, tan skin.....or scarred skin? I think I would rather be pale.

It is BAD to tan PERIOD. In essence, what you're doing is roasting your body much like the Thanksgiving Day turkey. This is NOT meant to be a joke. If you don't believe me, ask a doctor,.

yes the rays can go thru your eyelids that is what the googles are for i wouldnt not wear them very often because your eyelids are so thin that it can cause just as much damage as having your eyes open
