I have a half-brother somewhere is this world but i dont know who he is. He's by my father, and my dad doesn't "know" the womans name he had my half-bro with. He has no information about my bro and that means neither do I. I dont even know if he is alive but i want to know. I believe it's impossible to find him now. What do ya'll think is there still hope? Actually all i know is that he's my half-bro and he is around the age of 18 or 19.

Man, that sounds like a hard one.The only thing I could suggest is try to get any more info from your dad. Like, around when she was pregnant and/or gave birth, in what area and if know if he was put on the birth cerificate. Then, you can try with the info you get to research hospital records. Try to narrow it down to month and year and city. Then, go from there. Also, tell your father how important it is to meet him or find out about him. If you could at least know the mothers first name. I am pretty sure your dad knows that. If it was a one night stand and he never heard from her again, I could understand. But then, how would he know she had his baby? She must have contacted him and he therefore knows her name. Also, you can try to post some ads in the papers and online at like craigslist and other sites. Tell your fathers name, where you guys live and any info about where your dad met the lady, etc. You never know, the mother might see the ad and call/email you. Good luck. I wish the best and I hope your dad see's the importance of this and gives up some info!

I'm in a similar situation, except I know the name, but he's under 18, and our father has since past away, I'm having a hard time finding him. I think unless you have some kind of conection, a name or anything then it's impossible. You could try hiring an investigator, and seeing what they can come up with. Maybe your dad can give little details of when and where that could narrow down the search. It might also be possible that the mother knew your dad's name and put him on the birth certificate. Maybe you could do a search that way. Good luck, and don't ever give up.

You can start at what area/hospital he was born in and see if there's any information that can be released, but you pretty much need to talk to your dad - he's probably scared that the mother of your half-bro will get him for child support or something, I mean, there's that, but also be considerate of what your dad might be going through and his reasons why he hasn't even tried to find him (that you know of).

I think your dad is trying to keep you from finding him cause he does not know the woman's name he had a baby with ? that sounds a little fishy to me . I mean how many men dont know a womans name they slept with ? I dont believe your father has no info on his son . I dont think your father is telling you the truth . I would hire a private investigator . does he remember the yr that he slept with the woman and you could go from there like checking hospital records 9 months from when your dad slept with her . good luck .

Does your brother want to be "found"? Whenever there are great expectations, a great disappointment is also a realistic possibility. But if you insist, you might try Red Cross services maybe...However, be prepared for any possible outcome (even an unpleasant one)

I think it's nearly impossible, if not impossible to someone without a name and/or birthday.
