Depends on your current body weight. I would say two to four months would be realistic.
Here are some tips.
Eat Veggies, grilled skinless chicken breasts, and grilled fish.
Cross training is really a great way to go.
Sunday - Try running a mile then walking a mile. If you can't do the full mile running that is fine. Push as far as you can.
Monday - Run .10 mile sprints 5 times. Cool down between each. Jog/speed walk .5 mile.
Tuesday - Ride a stationary bike for 45 minutes. Then do 35 of each.
Sit ups
Crunches
Bicycle Sit ups
Wednesday - Take off and let your body heal.
Thursday - Run again. Same as Monday. Push as best you can.
Friday - Weight Training. Work on your upper boddy and lower body.
Saturday - Take off.

No way of knowing as weight loss is dependent on food intake as well.
As for 'workout', the amount of calories you burn in 30 minutes can vary widely, from maybe 150 if you're walking or prancing around to an exercise video to 500 or 600 if you're running sub-6 minute miles. Unlikely you're in good enough shape to go THAT hard if you only put in 30 minutes a day.
1 pound of fat = 3500 calories
20 pounds = 70000 calories
Assuming you are at a stable weight now, and don't change your diet at all, and assuming you're in good enough shape to run 6 minutes per mile for 30 minutes, you might get the job done in as little as 23 weeks. If you're more towards the walking end of the spectrum, it might take as long as 93 weeks.
Everybody is different of course, and presumably you'll modify your eating habits as well, but bottom line is, 30 minutes of exercise 5 days a week really isn't that much. It takes considerably more to impact weight loss than most people expect.
It DOES work, but like anything of value, it ain't easy, and it ain't quick.

It depends on how intensely you work out, but if you work out for 30 mins each day for 5 days a week getting your heart rate up to your target heart rate zone...and if you eat healthy, a normal rate for losing weight is 2-4 pounds a week. Much more than that is dangerous.
So, give it about 8-10 weeks to ensure the 20 pounds is off for good.

Well, it depends a lot on what you'll be doing within those 30 mins and what you'll be eating too.
Keep in mind that you need to burn 3,500 calories to lose a pound and people are recommended to lose only 2 lbs a week. That's what's healthy and that's when you can almost be guaranteed to keep the weight off.

Based on your current weight, you should be able to calculate that.
It also depends on your daily food intake.
Go to www.thedailyplate.com, and use the Calorie Calculator feature. Enter your weight and height, and your target goal - number of pounds you want to lose, and it will tell you exactly how many calories you need to consume per day to meet your goal.
Next thing, you can enter physical activities of 30 mins work out and it will tell you how many calories you burn. Do the math and you will find how long it will take....

if you want to lose weight you have to do more than 30min of cardio because the first 20-30min body burns carbs and only then starts burning fat so ideally you should be doing 45min of cardio 4-6 times a week.
