It seems a bit garbled: The port had already entered modernity, these were new times, here many of the changes that occurred accelerated the damage, since they had spent the first seventy years trying to make advances during that period, lacked half of the passed time so that the island entered a new definitive stage, that today distinguishes it from all of the State.

The port had already entered modernity, these were new times, from here on the changes will start happening in a faster way, since seventy years had passed trying to get the first advances of the period, half of the elapsed time was still necessary for the island to definitely enter a new stage, which today distinguishes it in all of the State.
