I tried this for the first time. It didn't taste like lemon at all. The box says it tastes "tart and tangy". Mine tasted like a mild berry. The tea is a red color; I expected yellow for lemon.

I have a box of it in my cupboard right now. You're right, it's not terribly lemony and does have too much berry. (I mean, I bought it because it said LEMON). I've had better lemon tea, I think it was by Twinings.

The red color comes from the hibiscus leaves... perhaps you did not steep the tea long enough? Don't use boiling water... use very hot water just below boiling... I like to add a small amount of honey... Lemon Zinger is my favorite tea from Celestial Seasonings... but there are other lemon herbal teas you may prefer.

Wildberry Zinger is my absolute favorite- I like it with a little honey- but if it is close to bed time use the the Sleepytime- this did not need any sweetner.
