I think denomination does not matter as long as it Christ centered. All he other things are just extras. I have tried many denominations and to this day go to several different denominational churches. i have tried, church of God, baptist, methodist, catholic, jehovah's witnesses, presbyterian, non-denominational and some others. The overall feeling is the same. The denominations are just for each persons own way of worshiping. Some people like to be more structured and traditional and some like it to be spontaneous and loud, whatever floats your boat.

I have been to many different churches and i find that being non denominational suits me the best. In churches that have denominations it feels as if people get so rapped up in rituals that have nothing to do with the bible that its takes away from the word of God. I also find that denominations limit the work of God. Some church put God in a box and it hinders what he can do with the people there. Also denominations seem to put rules on Christ such as you have to wear this and do that to get into heaven when all the bible said is that you must be saved. I have been to catholic, babtist, penachostal, prespteryen, methodist, and lutheran churches.

Because the Holy Spirit let me know it was the one True church of Jesus Christ.
I was raised catholic & in HS studied the religion & decided there were things that went against what was taught in the Bible so I fell away from all churches. 5 years ago I started reading the bible again & made a list of all the churched in the area (excluding the catholic churches). I prayed about the list & was going to visit all the churches & decide which one to join. 3 days after I prayed about the list 2 missionaries came knocking on my door in answer to my prayer. I prayed about what they taught me & the Holy Spirit manifested itself unto assuring me that this was the right path. Ijoined this church a month later & have been an active member ever since.
The name of the true church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I feel this church is much different & I don't feel that the practices go against the commandments of Heavenly Father or the teachings of Jesus Christ. I have a much better feeling with this church than I did with the catholic church.

I don't think my chosen denomination is correct for everyone, I believe it is correct for me. I am somewhere between Pagan and Agnostic, and this place feels fine for me. I don't preach that this denomination would be right for everyone, and that if they follow it they will be "saved".

Yes, I have thought about being something like Buddhist, or something else. I also tried out being Christian about 3 times. It just doesn't make me comfortable.

I choose non-denomination/ Bible church because it focuses on the Word. Not someone's lame, far reaching idea that uses the Bible to back up their point. Even satan can do that.

The feeling is "similar" in most Christ centered churches, because no matter how corrupt the leadership could be, they can not blot out the truth of the Light completely.

First of all, we are told to not create divisions among us. That is what denominations do. We were not commanded to go and open a catholic, baptist or methodist church. We were commanded to preach the gospel to every living creature.
Many denominations do not like to mention sin or hell, Jesus did, so should we.
Where it is true that God is love, He is also jealous and does get angry. Lots of churches are preaching heresy about tithing and the rapture. This will get most of these big named preachers a direct ticket to HELL for leading His sheep astray. For more information contact the website below.
It is free to join and never to be pressured for money. God's gift is free, we need to keep it that way.

Christ says if you walk in and feel the love, then He's there also.
I go to the closest place to the house.
I've been in several denominations and found they're all wrong about something. But they have all been right about one thing. Jesus is the Son of God. He died on that cross and three day's later, defeated death to prove to the world that there is life after death.

Protestant Christianity and Roman Catholic share a lot of common ground. We both believe in the essential truths which make us brothers and sisters in the Lord. However, after much prayer and study I found that the Catholic Church gives us the fullness which Jesus Christ offered us a being partakers in the New Covenant.

I didn't choose to be born into a family that was LCMS Lutheran, but I'm eternally grateful I was. I'm also thankful that God led me to marry an LCMS Lutheran man. God has been gracious to me in that He has kept me in this true faith. (For the record, Lutherans believe in the Invisible Church--that is wherever the Word (The Bible) & Sacraments (Baptism & Communion) are being administered in their truth & purity that is the true Church. This means that Lutherans aren't the only people who can be saved--some who don't bear the name Lutheran may be saved & some who do bear the name Lutheran may not be saved. Only God truly knows the heart.).

The reason I am thankful? The Lutheran motto is "Sola Gratia, Sola Fide, Sola Scriptura". Which means, "We are saved By GRACE ALONE, Through FAITH in Jesus Christ ALONE, as written in SCRIPTURE ALONE." The Lutheran Confessions are a thoroughly worked out doctrine & theology (it is clear to anyone who will read them that our beliefs & practices have been refined with the fire of persecution & heresy--The Confessions are merely a record of how heresies have been successfully refuted using Scripture alone), in which a person can be sure of their salvation not based on feelings & subjective means of salvation (i.e. "if I'm good enough", "If I pray & fast & read my Bible enough", "If I feel close enough to God", "If I say my prayers with enough sincerity", etc.). Rather, salvation is through the innocent bitter suffering, death & resurrection of Jesus Christ alone--nothing I do or say can save me. The simple means by which God establishes & maintains a personal relationship with His children are through His Word (The Bible) & His Sacraments (Baptism & Communion).

Lutherans (those who haven't compromised anyway--ELCA--although there are some faithful still left in that body) have a very refined & systematic approach to exegesis (interpreting Scripture with Scripture) & hermeneutics (thorough study of a certain text & its context in order to explain it & apply it to life) which I also greatly appreciate. This helps a person learn to discern when Scripture is being misused & abused.

If you are Christ directed you will go to the church He leads you to despite denomination. Alot of walls have been broken down in the passed twenty to thirty years to bring more unity to the Christian world without giving up the differences among them.
