I don't like them because they make people look like death in about 10 years.

I'm a bit of a tanning bed snob. With rare exception, my view is: why pay for skin cancer, when you can step outside and get it for free.
They are no less dangerous than the sun with regard to our health. If you live in a place where you can get outdoors and tan, that's my preference (and the sun helps our bodies produce vitamin D, which is a good thing) but for those who don't live in a sunny climate and choose not to use the tan-in-a-bottle, then that is about their only option for darker skin.
I live in Florida (USA) so tanning beds here are redundant this time of year, although there are plenty of salons that have them. I've only used one during the winter, if I was preparing to vacation some place warm and wanted a good base tan before I got there.

"A little sun glow" means "a little sun damage". You must be young like my daughter and 10 years from now seems like a long time. Take it from me, 10 years gets here and so does 10 more and 10 more. Now I am thankful I was a redhead and didnt even try to tan due to my friends look "old" and I dont or at least I am told that.
Concentrate on clothes or jewelry to look good and keep your beautiful skin looking beautiful for a long time!

i suppose it okay to use them as long as you don't do it to often. i personally think its better to go on holiday and get a NATURAL tan with the sun and not hot lights. theres a higher risk of you getting cancer on sunbeds, but in the real sun you just wear suncream (high factor) and your fine!
Be careful

Seems to me that being tan wouldn't be worth the damage the tanning bed is doing to your skin
There is nothing wrong with pale skin

I'll be completly honest with you, I'm a tan-a-holic. I'm not going to be a hypocrit and tell you how bad it is, because I do it. Yes, it is bad for your skin but these days you can get cancer even dying your hair! or going outside! anything! Do what you want. If you want to be tan, then be tan.

A suntan is minor skin damage. Nature keeps out much of the Suns ultra violet radiation via the atmosphere.
Sunbeds merely remove that protection.
Besides, lots of people use them so much they turn orange.
It's your choice, but sunbeds aren't for me thanks.

almost everything can be bad 4 you when not used in moderation, you don't want to look like a pumpkin, just make sure you use a good tanning product, to lessen the damage to your skin. where i tan they offer a hydration station, where they soak you in aloe and moisturizers, you should look into one where you live.

I wouldn't be using one weekly Colette.
There could be a hell of a price to pay with skin like leather or worse in years to come.
