The 10 Commandments - God's Revelation in the Old Testament
The 10 Commandments are found in the Bible's Old Testament at Exodus, Chapter 20. They were given directly by God to the people of Israel at Mount Sinai after He had delivered them from slavery in Egypt:

"And God spoke all these words, saying: 'I am the LORD your God…

ONE: 'You shall have no other gods before Me.'

TWO: 'You shall not make for yourself a carved image--any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.'

THREE: 'You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain.'

FOUR: 'Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.'

FIVE: 'Honor your father and your mother.'

SIX: 'You shall not murder.'

SEVEN: 'You shall not commit adultery.'

EIGHT: 'You shall not steal.'

NINE: 'You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.'

TEN: 'You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor's.'

I didn't ask the original question folks I want to know where someone found homosexuality in the 10 commandments everyone keeps saying that it is adultery which I DO NOT agree with. I amAtheist and bisexual so I really could care less what the 10 commandments say . I think only 3 people understood the question. Maybe I was too sarcastic in the way I originally asked it

thanks for pointing that out...so many regurgitate rhetoric, that they don't even know what they are saying...

they personally have no convictions on homosexuality or anything else...but, will follow their religions dogma, because they are told to.

this is a sad state...a bunch of people professing to be Christian and not even knowing what that means.

There is nothing about specifically about homosexuality in the ten commandments.

Romans 1: 24-27 Condemns homosexuality and says that people who engage in such acts worship the creature rather than the creator which can be linked to Commandment number one.

That's a huge stretch. Why not state a compromise on beastiality...after all it mentioned his donkey and ox? And hey, why stop there? It mentioned his house! So it's a compromise on housexuality as well.

It's very plain. The verse is clearly talking about things that a person might wish they had that "belong" to his neighbor.

The obsession that homosexuals have with trying to fit homosexuality into Christianity never ceases to amaze me.

It's the first one "Thou shalt have no other gods before me" Exodus 20:3.We ourselves can become a god when we put ourselves above the laws of God.This is what Satan did and he was kicked out of heaven. When I no longer control the fleshly desires and submit to the flesh.Who am I really submitting to?God or Satan. Its not a coincidence that AIDS is a homosexual disease,so wake up people and get a life.

Since most Christians compromise on the 4th commandment then I see no legitimacy in attempting to condemn anyone using one of the other nine.

edit: It is all a matter of interpretation by the one who is doing the condemning. That being said, I would refer you to my original answer.

I do not understand the question.

But homosexuality is spoke of in the NT (romans 1:27, I Cor 6:9)

I still don't understand the question, if there is one.

When expounding on the deeper meanings of the Ten Commandments it is the seventh commandment on adultery which homosexuality can be classified.

Anything having to do with human sexuality can be expressed in this commandment.

You are ignoring the parts of the Ten Commandments where the people are supposed to be put to death for disobeying them - keep reading. If these commandments were followed to the letter it would be barbaric.

The Christian obsession with homosexuality never ceases to amaze me. This issue has nothing to do with you or your religion. Yet you can't shut up about it. Give it a rest. Find a new minority to blame for your problems.
