Everywhere I turn, citizens and LEGAL immigrants of this country oppose this new immigration bill. I'm appalled that our elected officials do not hear us. I have signed petitions, I have called my senators and congresspersons. Any suggestions on what we, the people of this country, can do to be actually be heard?

I don't like the fact that we have 12 million illegals in this country either.

But what I keep hearing as "solutions" are empty rhetoric. People quacking "deport them"--when in practice that won'twork. "Build a wall" which is even dumber. And if we COULD manage to deport all the illegals, no on ewants to face the fact that it would cause economic chaos.

This bill sucks--but not because it provides a way for the illegals to gain legal status. That's going to have to happen, like it or not. But it isn't a workable policy nor is it enforceable. In short its not much better than the laws and policies we have now.

I jsut wish people would cut the rhetorical crap and start working on realistic solutions.

Ironic that "democracy" is defined as "rule by the people," yet your question (& so many like it) exist all around us & have now for decades. Amerika, a democracy? Heck no. A plutocracy? Certainly. A corprocracy? Probably.
The REAL question, then, is how do we take our government back?
(Ironic, too, that we committed this "pre-emptive strike" against Iraq while we were being invaded for years now by our neighbors to the south. Where IS the common sense, again?)

For a legislator who spends any time working for the country's extra effective hobbies, analyzing 1500 or 2000 web site expenses that are very technical with legalities could instruct very time-eating leaving little time for different themes significant to the country. then returned, it relatively is probably no longer that they have got not tried. it relatively is probably no longer achieveable to get with the aid of those massive expenses without falling asleep throughout each and each attempt that's the case with such records written with the aid of morons.

I hear people whine about this bill but NOT ONE has offered an alternative. We have to do something. We cannot allow illigal immigration to continue unchecked.

Organize rallies and marches. Then realize that most elected officials don't give a rats butt about what those who elected them think
