I was on vacation with my family, and my Dad and I went together to a taco place to get nachos or something. We ended up getting lost from each other. I only had about 2 dollars. This Mexican woman started following very close behind me as I was walking around the very crowded area. She got uncomfortably close - she was actually touching me, walking behind me so close. I began to worry that she was attempting to steal my money out of my purse. I couldn't figure out why else she would be doing that.
I turned around and said, "Please, lady, you are making me uncomfortable!" but she wouldn't stop. I finally got away from her. When I went to get my order, I opened my purse and found that I had all kinds of money. There were $20s, $5s and even a $100 bill! She had put money IN my purse!!!!!!!!!
I finally found her to thank her. I had so much money - in every corner of my purse, every pocket. Money everywhere! And I felt bad for accusing her of trying to steal from me.

After I caught up with my dad, we were at this buffet, which was free. There was an ABUNDANCE of food everywhere! The best food, from all over. I kept eating and eating, and couldn't get full. I was starving, and eating plate after plate of food.

Okay, so what does your Dad represent to you? Security? Strength? That's important, because you're worried about getting separated from him is really about getting separated from that quality in yourself.
You are worried that without this quality, you don't have enough resources to get what you need.
The woman in the dream is also you. Part of yourself you don't trust entirely. It's curious to me that she is Mexican (are you vacationing in Mexico?). If you are in Mexico, it seems unlikely that the local woman would have more money than the tourist. It's usually the other way around. For some reason you are very uncomfortable with the part of yourself that is most resourceful or most able to bring you prosperity and maybe security. Whatever this side of you is, it is foreign to you. Close to you, but unrecognized by you. Not a quality you associate with yourself. You distrust that part of yourself until you experience some success.
Security restored, you end up with plenty, but it doesn't satisfy you. No matter how much you eat, there is still plenty, and you are still hungry.
Whatever it is that you have been telling yourself will make you happy and bring you satisfaction is the wrong thing. No matter how much of it you get, it doesn't fill the need you have.
Sometimes we chase a dream expecting to feel a certain way when we catch it. But when we succeed, it doesn't feel the way we expected. Some people think they will feel worthwhile when they make enough money or buy a certain kind of house, but in the end, that's not what brings a person worth. No matter how much they attain, it doesn't satisfy the need for meaning. I'm not saying that is your particular abundance that fails to meet the need, but just using that as an example.
I think the symbols in dreams are highly personal. You have to find what they represent to you, because they represent aspects of you.
It's also a bit curious to me that your dream starts with you and your father going out for food and ends with you finding it and not being satisfied with it. Do you have any indication whether your father is satisfied with the buffet in your dream?

I don't give a damn to the dreams that we see. Its not the real life situation.
Seeing dreams only proves the point that our heart is always restless. There is not a moment when it will not work. We think that while we are sleeping we are not working. But the philosophy says that, that is not true. There can not be a single moment when you are not working.
We see seemingly ' good ' or ' bad ' dreams and start interpreting those. The fact however remains that while sleeping we tend to stop working by our minds, but the heart which is made not to rest, starts fantacizing and the dreams are on the vision. Some times we say that there was no dream this night, but the truth is that it slipped out of our mind as we woke up.
What we should understand by the dreams is, that we never actually cease to work, even while we are sleeping. Interpretations are a waste of time. Enjoy when you saw a good dream, ignore when you saw an uneasy dream.

Wow. What an amazing dream. Sounds like all your religious studies are "paying off"... you're finding unexpected riches from all of us strangers who seem to be very getting close to your heart - maybe even uncomfortably close. Perhaps when you went on the journey to "Mexico" you never intended to obtain so many spiritual riches.
You would have coped with the "$2" worth of spirituality that you had - not much, but probably enough to get through the day without passing out from hunger... You were very protective of that $2, because it was all you had!
You were suspicious of the stranger (strange new concepts) but it turned out that the strange new concepts are actually filling you up spiritually (not stealing from you).
Your dream is a beautiful allegory for life and possibly a great teaching tool for others to think about! An inspired dream.

It may seem very fortunate in your dram but, it does mean something in your dream
Being followed = insecurity
Money being put in your purse = desire
food = desire
You have some sort of insecurity in you. That may be the reason why you projected being followed. However, deep down you have this desire in your subconscious mind. In other words, even you feel insecure, you still want to fulfill your need and that is why you projected money in your purse and food not enough for you. You probably may not be easily satisfied due to your insecurity or your personality. Projecting starving and eating lots of food reveals your personality of being discontent all the time. Perhaps, lately something happened to you that upset you to a point that you don't feel trusted and you feel insecure. That may involve with your desire.

Everything is symbolic in dreams. Your approaching an age where security and reliance is starting to worry you. You also doubt peoples intensions. This is not a bad thing. You always need to be safe but in some area's trust more. Your probily focusing on being on your own and alittle scared about it. The ending suggest you feel secure with your dad who takes care of you, but your not so sure about being on your own yet. You should get out on your own in small steps. For example going to college and staying in a dorm, or programs that allow you to be away from home but there are people around to aid in your well being. Trips to stay with someone away from home..

I would see it as a life of wealth (at least comparatively) coming, but at the risk of some discomfort, including your having to be separated (physically and/or emotionally) from your family for a time. Ultimately you will be happy.

It means you think that someone is trying to separate you from your father.
This just might be true but they are only trying to enrich your life and make it better.
You should trust the person who is between the two of you they will do you no harm.
