If I try to create a "Desktop" shortcut from C:\Docs and Settings\All users..........., it is not the same Desktop quick launch icon.............................what to do??????

As long as you didn't empty the Recycle Bin, your icon is still there. All it is, is the shortcut to your program. Look in the Recycle Bin, find the icon and restore it.
