Do you consider this blasphemy?

Since I'm not a Christian it didn't matter to me, but it is a GREAT musical. I find it very interesting how the story of Christ seems so much like some rock star today who got WAY in over his head and payed the price.

I would suggest they watch Jesus Christ: Vampire Hunter. Not only is it blasphemous, but it's a funny B movie.

I'm an atheist, and I would consider the 1973 version to be my favorite movie. I absolutely love it. The first time I saw this I was 9 years old, and I'm betting I've seen it 30 times.

One of the Christians in this forum sent me a copy of the movie and the soundtrack because he knew that my soundtrack had been destroyed when I was a child. I listen to it every day, and I'm listening to it now. The song currently playing is Hosanna.

I don't consider it to be blasphemy, and I think I can speak for my friend and say that he doesn't either. We both enjoy it immensely, as does my youngest son.

I had a college roommate tell me it was blasphemy and that I was going to hell for listening to the soundtrack. Yeah, whatever.... I personally love it and Godspell!
She was also the same wacko who told me that because she had been born again she could party all night, but once again, I was going to hell because I hadn't been "born again". Guess going to church every Sunday morning didn't count!

I'm not exactly happy about it, but I don't consider it to be blasphemy. Misguided is a better word.

Absolutely not. In fact I think that it brings more people into the Christian fold.

I'm not a "Christian," so I'm free to regard it as simply an awful musical.
