When a skeptic asks you to perform a miracle by faith, like Jesus said you can and will, your typical response is the claim that you should not test God.
We consider this a cop-out because Moses took the miracle challenge with the pharoh's sorcerers by throwing down his staff and turning it into a serpent. Wow! What an amazing miracle!
Why do we not see miracles like this anymore when an opportunity is presented?
Even if it is not a challenge or a test, in situations where a miracle would be greatly beneficial, we still do not see these miracles.
The only things we see are trickery, which even then are subpar to the "magic" displayed by people such as David Blane and Criss Angel.
Please explain why none of you are performing miracles. No cop-outs please.

What did I say about no cop-outs? Some of you cannot read.
Amecake83, a child wanting candy and someone giving it to him is not a miracle. Things like this happen all the time.

People being brought back from death is called zombification. Sick people being healed is a result of medicine and such. The lame walk, the blind see all results of medicine and willpower. Every time a baby is born it is a miracle? Just as much as every time I take a crap it is a miracle. Open your mind and look at reality. Satan Bless

Because God is not obligated to answer us at a beckoning call....nor is He obligated to reveal everything to us.
The first century church saw alot more miracles & such as a tool from the Holy Spirit of God...........
Part of me wishes we saw it more today so that some people might be convinced of the power of God

A few facts about the bible here is that Jesus said to the Apostles, not us, that THEY would do these things so people could see the power of God manifest. Jesus said of the pharisees that they were sign seekers and that the generations after would be the same. Miracles DO happen and we see them everyday in the news and all around us. Everytime God answers my prayer it is a miracle. The only problem is that non-believers will call the miracle a "coincidence", or else try to scientifically explain how it happened somehow. That is why my friend that God doesn't perform miricles to prove His existence. He done it repeatedly in the past and there are always those who refuse to see it as such. You mentioned Moses and the Pharoh, it took repeated miracles and plagues brought from God before he finally believed Moses. The same would happen today. Fact!!! I have seen with my own eyes and there are over 100 witnesses to testify in our church how an elderly lady member of our church who couldn't walk stood up and danced in a circle one morning in front of everyone after we gathered around her and prayed. I have prayed for the sick, financially destitute, alcoholic, and brokenhearted and seen God work a miracle by INSTANTLY changing those circumstances. A tornado came through our small town and we prayed that it would not destroy this persons small home and while the homes on either side were practically leveled, the home we prayed for was not. But non-believers will say that you just can't predict the path of a tornado and it was just luck or a coincidence. All you have to do to see a miracle, is open your eyes. Peace

Hope this help you Numbers 21:5Â reads-And the people kept speaking against God and Moses: “Why have YOU brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? For there is no bread and no water, and our soul has come to abhor the contemptible bread.” 6Â So Jehovah sent poisonous serpents among the people, and they kept biting the people, so that many people of Israel died.
verse 6 says Jehovah sent Poisonous serpents among the people.
There probably no miracle like that any more because when Jesus was teaching the people back then about his father Jehovah God , he performed these miracle to show how powerful God was.If people were to due Miracle in these days, it would be confusing, The devil is the ruler of this world at this time so the miracle can be tricky for him. The devil is very tricky!

If you have indeed read the Bible, then you are aware that Jesus refused to perform miracles when skeptics demanded for Him to "prove' Himself. Moses was obeying God. That's when a Christian is used by God as an instrument to perform miracles, when God wants it done and not because you try to order people to jump through hoops to please you. If you ever witnessed a miracle, God knows you would still scoff and make up lies about the real source anyway. Read a book by Pat Robertson entitled "Miracles" if you want something to mock. I'm sure you will be greatly entertained. God is not interested in entertaining you, so don't hold your breath and expect Him to perform for you. Oh, by the way, how is it that you are able watch all the Christians in the world 24 hours a day to see if they are doing what you think they should be doing? Christians obey God. If they were obeying you, then they wouldn't be Christians, would they?

let me start by saying that i am a Christian, now you really need to define miracles
1. an effect or extraordinary event in the physical world that surpasses all known human or natural powers and is ascribed to a supernatural cause.
to be a miracle it has to be unexplainable by natural means, a disabled man having surgery and being able to walk is not a miracle, and Benny Hinn touching a person who is in a wheelchair and having them hobble off the stage is definitley not a miracle, Jesus' miracles had a little more merit than that, when you see a blind man and all you do is touch him and he can see then that is a miracle, biblical mircales have ceased to exist they were there to help people beleive until the perfect complete revelation of God (the bible) came to us, read I Corinthians chap 13 "for we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when the perfect comes, the part will be done away with." That quote may not be verbatim but you get the idea

When you play with a baby, notice that s/he isn't always looking at your eyes but rather a bit above your head.A good explanation to this would be that the baby is actually seeing your aura.if you look at old paintings you will notice that each and everyone of the people painted there, angels, kings and poor peasants, they all have auras. Some would say that today's world is so overrun by visual and sensual divergences and is so framed in the "logical" physical laws that we learn ever since we are young, that we don't believe in the "illogical" anymore. This is why people wont make miracles.because once you grow up you stop believing in yourself. Not in the way a baby would :)
This is already proved on a sub-atomic level.when scientists watched electrons and wanted to see particles they saw the electrons as particles.when they wanted to see energy they saw the electrons as waves. The only reason you cant do that on something bigger is because you "know" you cannot.

Well I wish it was as easy as tossing a stick down on the ground a watching it turn in to a snake as Moses did.
Unfortunatley, God has yet to appear to me in the form of a burning bush and inform me that I am to lead anyone.
As far as miracles go today for me, it is a miracle that my children live through each day without being injured, kidnapped, or abused in anyway. It was a miracle that on the very day that I vowed to swear off dating forever I met the woman of my dreams. It is a miracle that I have a job and can afford to feed and clothe my family.
I guess for me miracles are all of those small unexplainable by typical means things. Like stopping short of a stop sign to search for something in my car, only to witness a car accident a few feet in front of me, that I would have been involved in unless I had stopped short.
Circumstances today, in my opinion, prevent God from placing anyone in a position to perform miracles on Earth. If he did so society as a whole would demand proof of this person's abilities. Furthermore, if bad things happened after this person made their presence known they would be blamed for not making it right.
Finally, I wish I could wave my hands and turn water to wine, or feed five thousand, but God has yet to bless me with this ability. However, there are millions of Christ followers in this world and I personally believe among them somewhere there is one with these abilities, he/she is just not broadcasting it to the world.

Miracles happen EVERYDAY! but you must have faith to receive what you ask for, you must already believe. Any miracle a christian prays for can be done IF it is Gods will. Jesus said we can have anything we ask for in his name IF we are his true disciples. Jesus himself told the people who were asking him to perform miracles that even if he did as they wanted him to they would still NOT BELIEVE! we are not to use the privilege of praying and casting out demons and healing the sick to gain any kind of glory to ourselves it all must be for the glory of God and according to his will, but my friend there will come one who does these so called miracles you want to see and many will follow him, don't be deceived, believe with your heart not your eyes. .

Hey Cris, or whatever your name is....you think you know but
you don't . Miracles were in Jesus day for the unbelieving Jew.
We can't perform a miracle today. We can pray for God to do
certain things, but it's up to HIM and HIS will. This fake stuff you see on TV
don't associate all of "Christendom" with that stuff. It's a joke!

As a Christian i would like to put it in terms of a measure of Faith. The reason some people don't do "miracles" is because their faith isn't strong in God. Another reason i think people don't do "miracles" is because the thing that you ask may not be according to their gift. According God we are all given special gifts to be used for the edification of his kingdom. If my gift is to preach and you ask me to heal and its not in accordance to Gods will or the edification of the kingdom it probally wont work.
Hope that answers your question.
