I am 5ft 3ins and weigh about 8 stone. I work out three times a week and am about the right weight for my height but I'm always hungry. I am constantly eating. I try to snack on salads and fruit but I'm really hungry all the time. I eat healthy meals and always cook myself dinner. I eat at least 6 portions of fruit and veg a day. I eat from all the food groups. I feel like I have to eat every 2 hours. At work, I always have a salad for lunch (with egg, tuna, couscous or something) but I always have food on my desk to nibble at. I don't leave my desk to eat though as it's too busy and no-one gets a lunchbreak. I feel like I'm eating too much although I haven't put on weight.

That might be a question to ask a doctor. It could be a number of things, ranging from a eating disorder, to a high metabolism. I suffer the same thing, as well, although mine isn't an eating disorder. Far from it, actually. I just have a high metabolism, and it shows. On average, I'll eat five to seven meals (Not snacks) a day. The worst part about this? I don't gain an ounce when I eat. I blame it on the tape worm (He doesn't exist, but its funny to watch people's reactions to the statement). I'll eat anywhere from one to three pounds of food, per sitting, and barely gain any weight, at all. I have multiple check-ups, each year, and I'm healthy as can be. The truth is, people are different. There's no "set food amount" a person should eat. How big are you? If you're tall, or just naturally hefty, you'll eat more to maintain your body type. If this is a concern, as I stated, just talk with your doctor about it. I'm sure they'll offer you an answer, if anything. If you just have a healthy appetite, I suggest buying non-name brand food items.... or getting a second job. :P

there are a number of health issues that could cause you to feel hungry constantly, so you should go have a chat with your doctor about it and maybe run a couple tests.

Also, it may be that you are thirsty more than hungry, as most people tend to mistake thirst for hunger untill they are nearly dehydrated. Try keeping a bottle of water or flavored water around and sipping on that, and see if it helps. Also, boredom can tend to lead to snacking constantly, although you seem to keep fairly busy at work.

As it hasn't lead to a weight problem, though, you seem to be good about exercising well and eating healthy. Beyond mentioning it to your doctor, I don't think it's really something to worry too much about.

It's best to eat when you are generally hungry, and you sound like you are eating healthy option foods rather than sank foods, which is good.

If your not putting on weight, and you are eating healthily, then I see no point in starving your self just because you think you are eating too much.

You actually sound like you are doing every thing right to tell you the truth. eating healthy and when every you feel hungry has been proven to be the best diet going, not to lose weight just to maintain a healthy weight.

stop worrying and get moving away from the desk at lunch. Get some fresh air. Sounds like you are worrying for nothing, you seem to be doing all the right things

Don't keep snacking that's just gonna put weight on you. Try drinking a slim fast that you make yourself. They have them at wal-mart and I'm telling you they work great. You can use slim fast as a mean replacement. It's the powdery kind you mix your self. It's like $6 something at wal-mart. Try it and see if it works. It worked with me and I'm a big girl.

You need to bulk your food out with stuff like rice and pasta...or noodles.
My fav is a massive stirfry (with no meat) but with some batchelors super noodles (the low fat ones)... massive meal and i feel stuffed afterwards but hardly any calories!

Fibre won't help - you need carbohydrate. This makes you full. Stuff like Potato and pasta. Its job is to make you feel full to stop you eating too much.
