Well when it comes to meeting someone over the internet such as MySpace, it concerns me a bit because some of the people that do it do not know the other person too well.
I have met about 5 people through MySpace, but I did not meet them right away. After talking to them and asking around with friends if they are trustworthy, I tried to meet them.
Common sense is a key in this, although hipocritical of what I just stated. But, yes, more and more people are meeting through MySpace...I guess todays level of trust is low to the point that you can trust anybody.

I know someone who has.. not really a great idea.. the person can totally make up everything, pics and all. I had someone on my list that was like a memorial page for some kid who did and they asked me to add them so I did than all of a sudden the kid who's pic was up on the site came out and said he was alive and that the person made everything up. It's kinda freaky, you can be whoever you want on there so if you do decide to meet someone just be careful. It;s pretty much the same as meeting someone thru a chat, you should def get to known them alot better before you meet them..

Well yeah.... Two years ago, this guy sent me a message on MySpace...and we started talking, turns out we both worked in the broadcasting field.... a few weeks later we went on our first date.... Now its 2 years later, we live together and are getting married.... crazy huh? We're both normal, nice looking people, so its not like we needed myspace to get dates, it was just a fluke...I certainly wasn't on myspace for that and neither was he... he just felt intrigued to message me and we hit it off.... so there ya go :)

I actually met my friend of 6 years this past weekend! It was fun to meet her, now I know who the hell I've been talking on the phone for the past 6 years! She lives about an hour away and well I guess we had never really planned to meet. Good experience though.

I have. A number of people matter of fact. I no longer have an account on there anymore though. A lot of people use myspace as a dating service considering its free. It definitely attracts a certain kind of crowd and age group. Just be careful whatever you do.

I've met people online before, but it was like 10 years ago. From what I understand, this is the way to meet people now. But in doing so, please be very careful. There are alot of dogs out there.. both men and women.

i "remet" a guy i went to high school with on myspace, dated him for a few weeks, and then it was over. It does seem like a handy way to meet people though, especially because of the search options, you can search by location, age, religious beliefs, etc. >L

I did it once but i dont think ill do it again. not because it was a bad experience but because it dangerous. it was gradual. we spent alot of time sending mail back and forth, then talking on the phone, and finally I agreed to meet him when we realized we had a mutual friend. i.e. someone to confirm he wasnt a psycho. Were still good friends
