You know i do not like the word retard, look it up and you will find out what it means, so it would make you a retard, cause i am sure there is something you are not good at. Anyway, the guy is in love, and if he has down sydrome, that does not make him retarded , that means he has down sydrome, or is disable in something, not retarded. Now if he is treating his girlfriend, well do you really think he would hurt her. You know the way you talk about your brother is not becoming of you. You could be a bit nicer. They do not have retard clinic by the way, so please get your facts straight there. It seems like you are just out to cut him down, has he made you mad, or are you embrassed about him maybe having a touch of down sydrome. A lot of people are in deniel, about all kinds of things, have you talked to you mother about that. Are you starting to feel guilty for telling the girlfriend to call the police on him. And did you call the posion control center when he drank the Windex? That will kill you you know. I think that you have a problem with your bother, and you need to go and discuss this with someone, and i am serious about that. Also i think you like to us the word retard, why , who knows , i guess only you can tell us why. Most poeple do not use that word any more. You know it just has got a bad name , and why put it on any one? So you really need to learn to look up words before you use them, and you need to get some help with the anger you are carrying around..

Okay first of all, don't call him a dummy. He's obviously not well.
Secondly, retard clinic? That's VERY rude. I'm sure if you were mentally unstable, you would not want to be dismissed as a retard.
Third, Downs Syndrome has nothing to do with this. I've spent time with people with downs syndrome and they are not mentally ill the way that it sounds like your brother may be.
You need to keep an open mind and heart with what you're brother is going through right now. He's ill. Don't dismiss him and don't have a condscending tone or attitude toward him. He can't help it if he's sick.
Get hold of a doctor and have them make the correct diagnosis here.

First, a threat to kill someone is something that needs to be reported to the police to make them aware there is a problem.
Second, I don't get the impression she is his "girlfriend", but a girl that may have been nice to him once and now doesn't like him.
She should stay away from him in case he does try to do something. If she continues to hang out with him then she enjoys up-setting him.
Third, did you see him drink Windex, or hear him threaten her? If not, then the girl may be stretching the truth to make it seem worse than it is as she sees you as someone who enjoys hearing bad things about your brother.
Fourth, these are stages teenagers go thru in relationships. Hopefully by the time people reach adulthood they have learned better ways to react to rejections.
You are not helping by having such a negative attitude toward your brother and mother.
Believe it or not, there will come a time that your family won't seem like the complete idiots you thought they were.

First, you need to make sure your brother is still alive. Tell you mother IMMEDIATELY. If he hasn't gone to the ER yet (following the windex incident last night), get him there NOW. As in call 911.
Your brother needs psychatric hospitalization. He is both suicidal and homicidal. This is a time for compassion, dear, not attack. Your brother is in dire straits right now, both physically and psychologically.
Be a good sister to him and do your best to help him get inpatient psychiatric treatment (following any medical treatment he may need to address the windex incident).

Threats are not to be taken lightly. She should call the police.
I agree...it sounds like your brother has a problem. The sooner he gets help the better. Does your mother know the full extent of his behavioural problems? Maybe it's time she was aware.
Good luck to you and your family.

ok so windex helped with everything in My Big Fat Greek Wedding , but not in this situation. I would take him to someone today. I mean ok first windex but what could be next. He obviously has some problems and they need to be addressed by a professional as soon as possible.

Sorry but it sounds like your brother may need serious counseling. He should be seperated from his girlfriend especially if he threatened to kill her. Tell your mother in a nice way everything.
