Simply Stylin Silk is good because it's pure silicone.

Silicones have molecules that are too large to be absorbed into the scalp, so they coat the hair to protect it from heat and humidity. Hence their use for preventing burning during heat application and preventing frizz.

Most silicones, like Biosilk and Frizz Ease, have other ingredients that don't help the silicones. In fact, they get in the way and detract from the silicone.

Because Simply Stylin' is pure silicone, there's nothing to takeaway from its action on your hair. You get maximum effects. So it provides a very effective barrier against the heat from a straightening iron and provides a long-lasting shine and softness.

You can find it in a few beauty supply stores in large markets. Ask around for it. Or go to their website simplystylinhair.com.

Bumble and Bumble "Straight" - it's on the expensive side, because it works wonders on the curliest of hair, use this and a straightener to get amazing results. My friend with very curly, natural ringlets, used this to get some amazing, natural-looking straight hair.

If you also want a straightener, I would suggest CHI brand Ceramic Flat Iron. It is also expensive, but, again, you couldn't ask for better results. It's what they use in beauty salons, gets hot quick and when you use gel, it doesn't damage your hair.

Remember to use gel when straightening your hair... the straightener is only as good as what you are trying to straighten, and you must provide a gel so that the straightener doesn't fry the moisture in your hair.

apply Redken 12 Align straightening balm throughout your hair concentrating on the ends to protect and promote straightening. Next, run a very hot straightening iron through small sections of your hair for perfectly straight shiny silky hair that will last for a few days.
