I'e been having pain in my wrist and hands, like it hurts to clench the fist and to move the wrist.....does anyone know what this might be? I haven't done anything different lately, no excessive work on the computer etc. I am a bit too young to be having Arthritis but it does seem like a possibility?

Do you play any sort of instrument? Are you on the computer a lot? You might have the beginnings of carpal tunnel syndrome. What I try and do if I'm experiencing this is to gently curl each finger inwards in one syncopated motion. (Imagine saying bye in a very formal manner). Hope that helps!

One possibility is Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Repetitive motion can cause this, whether it's on a computer, cashiers that continually "scan" items, etc.

If it's really bothering you, see your doctor. He/She can tell you how best to relieve the pain.

I have a similar complaint. It could be arthritis or carpal tunnel. Ive noticed mine acts like an inflammatory process, like tendinitis and taking NSAIDs seems to work best...rest and Tylenol.

This pain could be related to any number of things. Unknown trauma, pinched nerve, tendonitis or carpal tunnel syndrome. If the symptoms persist, please consult your physician. He or she may be able to give you a wrist brace to hold your hand in proper alignment and relieve the pain.

probably tendonitis, ongoing use of a computer causes what is known as a repetitive movement injury, the damage is cumulative and would take several months of usage to cause symptoms.
