This statues of Jesus and Buddha were 50' each and were seen by many people in the Mekong Delta region during the Vietnam war era, and was reported to be done by someone called The Coconut Monk. I have read several accounts of its existence, but I cannot find an image online anywhere. Can anyone point me in the right direction where I can see a picture?
Thanks in advance

I do know of that statue...it is written about in a book by Jack Kornfield " A Path With Heart" wherein in he tells about a powerful image of the Buddha and Jesus with their arms around each other's shoulders...that is on page 40 and 41 of this book. I am still looking for an image. At that time there were helicopter gunships flying by and war was raging all about them...it may have been destroyed but I hope not.

sorry no haven't heard of it either...i don't know whether Jesus studied Buddhism but Buddhism is most certainly NOT a form of Hinduism.....they have similar characteristics but that's because they're both dharmic religions...

ALSO,the Buddha was not a "God",false or otherwise.he was a man and we regard him to be a great teacher.....mahayana Buddhism is a bit misleading because they treat the Buddha as somewhat divine, but this is incorrect.theravadha buddhism is the original form of Buddhism, mahayana branched out later.

prince siddhartha's mother(who later became the Buddha) wasn't a virgin...she and king Suddhodhana were waiting eagerly for a child and one day she had a dream about a white baby elephant...when the King asked his wise men the meaning of this dream, they said that she was pregnant with a child who has a great future in front of him..that's all...there is nothing about Queen Mahamaya being a virgin or whatever...

Never heard of it but I have heard Jesus studied Hinduism and that Buddhism is a form of Hinduism so I think it's very appropriate :-)

Never heard of it, if there were a statue of Jesus then the maker would have been breaking one of HIS commandments by making a graven image......

Sorry i can't help you out other than tell you that since Buddha is a false God whoever made the statue was doing so against God's will.
