NO!

You could DEPOSIT it for him, but no bank employee would give you cash for it!

Just have him endorse it "FOR DEPOSIT ONLY", write his account number on the back and he can use his ATM/DEBIT to make payments on his bills or get cash.

Does your father know about DIRECT DEPOSIT services?
Tell him to talk to the payroll officer at his place of employment about getting direct deposit started. His paycheck is sent directly to his bank account and will spare him the HASSLES of making mad dashes to the bank to deposit his checks.

Depends on your bank. Some will not cash a third-party check at all. Some will, but you would need to have money in your account to cover the check because they'd put a hold on it for a few days until the check clears.

If the bank his check is drawn on has a branch near you, I'd advise he go to that bank and cash it there. He'd probably have to pay a buck or two in fees, but it'd be worth it to save the aggravation....

you can cash it for him if you have that amount in your account to cover it, if not you would have to have him sign it over to you and then deposit it and if it is a out of state check it can take up to 7-10 business days to clear your account. you could also see what bank that check is from and if you have one of those banks in your state or city, your dad can take it right to that bank and cash it himself. hope that is helpful

If you have his Id with you or him with you then most banks will cash a pay roll check. I have done so with my son and my check.

Usually, Sometimes banks require you have enough in your account to cover the check just in case it comes back bad.

If you have the money have him sign it over to you and you just deposit and give him the money

he would have to sign it. then deposit into your account and wait up to 3 days for it to clear, unless you have the funds to cover the amount already in your account.
