They announced that the COT will be the only car used next year. Will this affect Jr's decision and do you think they will add any 1 1/2 mile tracks towards the end of the season to the 2007 COT schedule?

Sorry for any misunderstanding but what I'm trying to say is should they run the COT at a couple of 1 1/2 mile tracks THIS year in order to prepare for NEXT year? As of now they are only planning on running the COT at the next Talladega race, as far as larger tracks. If they do there might be chase implications that teams weren't ready for but if they don't they won't have much data going into next year on how the COT handles on "downforce" tracks.

I don't think it will effect his decision. He has said he wants to go to whoever gives him the best shot at winning a championship. I also don't think they will change the schedule for this year to include more COT events.

With the COT, Dale Jr., along with alot of other drivers, will have a better handle on it based on what they've learned so far. I think that as long as Dale Jr. has a good team to work with, or his own, he will do great!!! I am a Jeff Gordon fan, but I have always liked Dale Jr.! I personally would like to see more 1 1/2 mile tracks added to the schedule. I think they may add 1 or 2, but the with the way they think the fans are responding, or the lack of, it may not happen!

I doubt very seriously that it will have any bearing on Jr's decision as to where he lands for 2008. As far as the 1 1/2 mile tracks goes... I've always been in favor of more. Much better racing.

I doubt it will affect where Jr ends up. He is a great driver and teams would be foolish not to take him, unless of course you're Hendrick motor sports, then you need no one. Not too sure about the 1 1/2 tracks being added, I haven't thought about that.

No, I don't think it will. Jr. will go where he feels he has the best chance at a Cup and the front runners with the car of today will undoubtedly be the front runners with the COT. I don't think NASCAR will add any races either.

I dont think it should have any bearing on where Junior goes, all teams will race the COT car, and Juniors skills driving any model as of late is not up to scale.

And no I dont think they're adding tracks at all next season.

I dont think so. The teams with good Cars of Yesterday are the same teams with good COT. Hendrick, Gibbs, and RCR. There are a few other teams that have stepped up with the COT, but not enough to over power the big 3. Gibbs and RCR are still the front runners.

He should try to convince Rick Hendrick to fire Kyle Busch or Casey Mears and join Hendrick because it appears that Hendrick will win all the COT races. They have won 73% of all races this year and 100% of the COT races. NASCAR has finally achieved the parity they want-- dominance by Rick Hendrick Motorsports.

Good question .They should add some 1 1/2 tracks just to see what the car is going to be like .I would like to see how it's going to act on a superspeedway. As far as Jr. goes I think that is going to be a big factor also.

Hopefully by next year everyone will have the cot handling better. I dont think it will affect what Jr is going to do. Adding more tracks would be nice that means nore races, lets hope they do.
