I have no "Top Contributor" banner but I am still boring as hell. Doesn't this fact alone tear your theory to shreds?

Hey Thomas,

I feel your pain! The answers most top contributors give are boring because they are not making fun of, joking around or arguing the point of the asker - they are just answering the question as best as they know how and that is boring for every one but the asker!

In the R and S category the problem is compounded by the fact that everyone who is not interested in religion or spiritually would rather watch paint dry than hear some of the spiritual answers the contributors give. Have you noticed how most people come to R and S to attack religion or make fun of it? So of course the 'good' answers are boring for them.

So Thomas - bottom line - most askers appreciate a thorough and thoughtful answer to their question and vote for a person who cares about what they asked!

And on behalf of all top contributors, I sincerely apologize for boring you to death with my answers! LOL!

Peace out brother!

What do you consider boring? One word answers? Yes, they don't seem to do much but add points. I'm a person with a lot of humor but sometimes, or especially, when it comes to God I like to answer seriously. That, I guess, could be considered boring to some.

Well, the "highest rating" according to Yahoo is a flawed system anyway.

Because religion is a way of life.

The same can't be said for etiquette, community service, languages etc.

Have you never listened to a televangelist? Gene Scott is dead, but he is still on tv 24 hours a day. Listen to his boring talk, wonder why anyone would waste time listening to him, and then ask how much money this dead man pulls in each day.

It's not about boring, it's about good solid and helpful answers. If you give a fun load of bologna, it will make someone laugh, but they asked to be helped, not to get a laugh.

Probably because drama queens aren't very helpful, and this is a question and answer forum, where people generally want answers to their questions - not entertainment and insults and wild accusations and everything else.

They haven't angered anyone enough to lose their account and so day after day, they accumulate points. Like the turtle who beats the rabbit.
