Try not trying, sounds daft but often happens. The more you try looking the harder it becomes.
Try speed dating at the local, you may not find a man but its a good laugh and you can end up making new friends, friends equals a wider circle which equals more opportunities.

I would suggest, bringing the kids to little league games, play grounds, you know faimly outings. There are bound to be some single dads out there too.
