Monkeys (have tails) do not prove anything. They say that our ancestors share a common ancestors similar to Apes. We did not evolve from Apes or "monkeys", we just share a common ancestor.

Anyway, it took millions of years for humans to evolve into what we are today. Another thing that affects us, is how are body mutates over time. The mutations most likely to be passed to future generations are those that prove useful to either individual or species survival.

The "usefulness" of a mutation depends largely on shifting environmental factors like those of food, predators, and climate, and also on social pressures. Evolution is a matter of filling ecological and social niches. Apes are still around because their environment allows them to stay the same, imagine if humans lived naked in a jungle of Africa, we wouldn't survive at all. However, if the jungles were to disappear then the Apes that survived without a jungle would eventually change. They wouldn't need long strong arms because they wouldn't be living, climbing or hanging from trees as much.

Living things do not evolve over a 100 years, its takes A LOT of generations in order for that to happen. Evolution is an ongoing process of trial and error, and every species on earth is constantly evolving.

However, believing in evolution depends all on how you were raised and your religion. But in a scientific matter, thats why apes are apes and humans are humans. Evolution is a long long process and depends on a lot of other factors.

It proves nothing. The bible says that God created man, woman, and all the animals on the earth. The existence of monkey's certainly doesn't prove we are in any way related to them, if that is what you are suggesting. Well, I guess we have the same father. HAHA!

It proves that God made a smart animal that listens and learns like a dog can. I don't believe that humans came from monkeys.

Axiom number one of objectivism: existence exists.

The existence of monkeys proves that they exist.

And no, it does not come anywhere near disproving evolution. The existence of monkeys is actually strong evidence that evolution is true.
