A going question lately is why does bad happen if God is real and all powerful.
God never did promise that there would not be troubles, infact he said troubles would come, he said storms would come.
God never did promise that there would be no war infact he
warned us that wars was coming.
What God does promise to those that believe on Him are many things one of which He promises to be the comfort in the storms.
Why is it so many ask why do bad things happen when God clearly never promised they wouldnt. He even told us they would.

Mat 5:45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

I guess it is human nature to blame someone for a tragedy. May that be in our own lives or the nation as a whole. To the non believer, this life here on earth is all there is. To God, and the Christian this life is a mere pathway. A temporary place and trials are viewed as chances to do good to others and to mature in ones faith and grow closer to the Lord.
I once read this on a church sign:
GOD DIDN'T PROMISE A SMOOTH JOURNEY. HE PROMISED A SAFE LANDING.
How true that is. I remind myself of that when things don't go well.

Another question could be why do so many good things happen. Why don't people question that?
“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). Despite the evil, wicked, sinful nature of the people of this world, God still loved us. He loved us enough to die to take the penalty for our sins (Romans 6:23). All we have to do is believe in Jesus Christ (John 3:16; Romans 10:9) in order to be forgiven and promised a home in heaven (Romans 8:1). What we deserve = hell. What we are given = eternal life in heaven if we would just believe. It has been said, this world is the only hell believers will ever experience, and this world is the only heaven unbelievers will ever experience. The next time we ask the question, “Why does God allow bad things to happen to good people?”, maybe we should be asking, “Why does God allow good things to happen to bad people?”

That's right.... there is a time to build up and a time to tear down ... and the many warnings in the bible prepare us for things that happen in this world. So long as there is evil and sin there will be bad things that happen, even to good people.
You are so right that he's supposed to be our comfort during these times... Paul in jail realized this to the fullest extent to where he said that he is content because the Lord is his strength through the tough times..... and I have also found that is true in my little problems of life....
This is a good question for all to read .... thank you!

They are the ones who want to blame someone else for what is happening. God gave his own son, Jesus Christ to die for our sins, but He is not going to force his love on us. We have the choice to believe that Christ is our salvation or not to believe. Those of us who do believe, know that their will be trials and tests, but we can still have the joy in our hearts knowing that God is in control and everything happens for a reason. We also go through the trials to build up our perseverance and after the outcome, it builds up our faith and patience. Right now, we just have to trust in the Lord & build our relationship with Him until the final gift of eternal life! Just as the "Footprints" poem, many don't realize until after they are out of their storm, that Jesus carried them through it. :)

Yes and why people do not see it I do not know. God warned us about all these things but people do not want to hear it. It is the same as cancer that people see as a bad thing. God give this people weeks, moths some times years to prepare to go to Him. What is so bad about is. God Bless

Most of those types of questions are just to start some kind of argument. People just try to see if they can make someone doubt there faith. God does not make bad happen. He is there to pick up the pieces when you fall apart, but you have to believe and trust in God for him to do it. Its not asking to much...

yea, but if you seek him
good things will come.
God promised his church that he would come back and get us.
those who beleive and worship.
God says that" the worst has past, and the best is yet to come"
he knows everything that we are going to do, and everything that is going to happen, but he only said he was going to be there to protect us, if we seek him.
i mean, he cant help someone if they aren't willing to help themselves, if you don't find God he won't find you.
he's giving us choices.

They're trying to make people who are ignorant about their faith consider those questions.
Either that, or they're still angry about being "brainwashed".
