Yes I have.12 October 1990
I was 19 and a rear seat passenger.
We wern't wearing seatbelts in tthe back as there were none and it wasn't against the law.
It was about 11.00pm and 4 of us were on our way out to the clubs (we worked in a hotel so didn't finish work until late)
I was sat in the centre of the back seats taking to my friends in the front.
We were on an A road, and were travelling at approx 50 ish MPH.
In the distance we saw 2 headlights pop out from behind another vehicle and presumed they were turning off the road.
Instead, it came straight at us.At that point an articulated lorry passed us and then nothing...
All I remember after that was coming round and screaming for my mum.
My friend in the front passenger seat was gurgling blood and could hardly beathe.
I remember smelling smoke and some mans voice shouting to get us out as the car had caught on fire.( apparently we were lucky, the arctic lorry had stopped a way down and had an extinguisher in his cab.
I also noted there was no back seat and my friend and I were sat on bare metal and my door was wide open and my leg was out of it..
The police and ambulance arrived at some point (its all a bit patchy) and the fire service.
They removed my friend fom the back seat ( she had suffered whiplash and amnesia) and the driver (broken wrist and nose)
They came round to get me (my friend in the front was in a bad way and was being worked on my paramedics)
and a fireman asked me if I could get out.
I said the top of my leg felt a bit wobbly and I think I've broken it.
He said probably not as I was in no real pain.
He then tried to move me and the pain made me pass out.
Icame around in the back of an ambulance and I'd snapped my thigh bone.
My friend in the front seat was eventually cut out.
She had taken the full brunt of the impact and both her lungs had collapsed, she broke all the bones on her foot and snapped her thigh also.
Her and I were both pinned and kept in hospital for 4 weeks.
The driver of the other car ran off from the scene leaving his friend with a broken leg.
The back seat that my friend and I were sat on was found 100 yards down the road....scary!!!
I used to have photos of the crash and injury's but I threw them out a long time ago.
Hope this helps.

Well the slow motion and unreality thing is definitely true. I've been in a few, the worst being when i hit a bank at about 50 miles per hour. As i came to a bend i slowed a little, it was a sweeping right hander but as i came out of it and tried to straighten up nothing happened, the car kept turning. I tried anti-lock and accelerating through it but nothing, it hit the bank and almost went straight up in the air. The guy in the car in front told me when he saw it in the mirror it looked like something from the nascar or formula one. The car barrel rolled two or three times in the air then hit a stone wall and ended up rolling down some ones driveway. When the car final stopped the music was still playing and for a second i thought everything was ok. My girlfriend was with me and for a couple of seconds nothing happened, then it hit me what had happened and i ran rouind to her side, luckily the car landed on what was left of its wheels and we were both ok apart from being shocked and bit of bruising. The music was still playing in the car and for some crazy reason i thought that maybe the car wasn't too bad either, needless to say it was an absolute write off. The worst part of the whole thing was when the car was in the air and glass was going everywhere and all i could hear my girlfriend screaming, it was the worst feeling of my life that i might have seriously injured the person i loved most, we were both lucky. I have some photos of the car somewhere, if i can find them i'll see if i can send them.

Sorry no photos of crash and wasn't injured. Car a Ford Escort was written off by the insurance.
It was about 4am in the morning black ice and the car went out of control there was nothing i could do. So held my head and put it down on the passengers seat and waited for the crash. Its like everything is happening in slow motion. Hit a tiny garden wall, car then stopped thank goodness. Police were on the scene within mins and the peeler slipped and fell on the black ice so i wasnt charged with anything thank goodness. Hope this is of some assistance.

I was the passenger in a car which was hit while turning right at traffic lights. The other car ran into the front wing, just in front of my door. It was very frightening, as I could see what was going to happen, but could do nothing to stop it. I siffered whiplash, and still have some flashbacks (it was about 7 years ago now), plus it has made me a very nervous passenger. The car was write off, as the whole body was bent.

I am surprised I can remember this far back but yes I was in a car accident. It happened when I was about five years old. I was traveling down the interstate with my dad and his ex-girlfriend, Heather. It was a great day and we were going down to see family for Thanksgiving I believe. Anyway I had no way of knowing anything was going to go wrong that day. We were driving down the road at a pretty good 80 MPH clip. Suddenly when Heather was driving she saw a car stopped about 10 feet ahead of us. She did not put on her brakes nearly fast enough and we rear ended the guy in front of us going at about 65 MPH. This is when my memory of the entire thing starts to get a little bit blurry. She screamed very loudly and I remember seeing my dad walk out of the car to go up to the people in front of us to see if they were all right and needed any help. Within about fifteen minutes ambulances and police cars started showing up. The people in the front of us were both taken away to the hospital. I don't know about my dad and his ex-girlfriend but I remember that I was taken to my grandmother's house and the whole day I just sat around crying and in complete shock. I hope I have helped you out and let me just say to all americans to please drive safely. Car accidents are occuring throughout the United States today at an all time rate with teenagers and younger drivers being in the majority of that group.

um...I've been in 2
First was January 13, 1994 at 11:58 pm in Danville, Illinois. I was re-ended, while driving, by a drunk driver. I was doing 30 mph on slick roads. He, according to the police report was doing over 60 mph. Speed limit was 45 mph. He hit me, and pushed me into the other 2 lanes of traffic which happned to be stopped at a red light. I received severe whiplash from with I still suffer and my passenger received a seat belt bruise across her chest & shoulder. Don't know what injuries the other guy got...probably none seeing how he was drunk. Total damage was a little over $4,000.00 to the re-end of my 2 day old car.
Second accident was March 3, 2007 at 11:15 am in Indianapolis, Indiana. I was the front passenger of my mothers vehicle, she was driving, my husband and father were in the back. We were stopped at a red light and we were re-ended by a man who was not paying attention. He hit us doing 50 mph in a 40 mph zone. He never hit his brakes and there were no screeching tires. Her vehicle (Oldsmobile Bravada) was pushed forward several feet (don't know exactly, but you can put a Mini Cooper between the 2 vehicles). His vehicle (Ford Van not full size) had front end damage and it blew the air bags. Mom & Dad had sore muscles. My husband ended up with severe whiplash, shoulder strain and side pain. I got PCS (post concussion syndrom) which included stuttering of speech, short term memory loss, severe headaches. I also have whiplash. Total damage to mom's vehicle was $3,000.00. And yes everyone was wearing seat belts in both accidents.

definite, driving down a rustic street and a vehicle replaced into stopped without 4 way destructive aspects on. i replaced into going approximately 40 as a results of ice and snow (Ohio in December) and replaced into no longer able to end so my suggestions have been rear end the vehicle in front of me, head on the motor vehicle in the different lane or take the ten foot drop in to the sphere next to me. Took the sphere as a results of fact the main secure wager to no longer injure absolutely everyone else and rolled my vehicle thrice. luckily i walked away with a scar on my brow from the place the sunroof busted out and a few inner bruising. Totaled my truck yet no person replaced into heavily injured

yes a few times--there is an air of unreality and slow motion in the split second before and after the impact---the only injury i sustained was a gash that required 10 stiches in my head
