Depaneds on the type. A cheap single shot will run about $125. The price from there goes up depending on the quality and style.
My son's 20 guage Remington, pump action cost about $275, but it had a $50 rebate. A very reliable gun and my son loves it. He uses it for clay pigeons, and it is accurate and trouble-free.

If you search the pawn shops, you can probably find one for about $100. Or you can fly to London and have one of the famous makers measure you, give them $60,000, and in two or three years you'll have the best gun you can imagine, unless you want extras in inlay and engraving, which can run the price up a bit. Really, it's a bit like asking the price of a car. Do you want new, or is used (or vintage) OK? Single-shot, side-by-side, over-and-under, pump or auto? Are you an average-sized guy, or are you going to need a custom fitting? You'll need to make some choices and do some research for your answer.

I bought a Mossberg 500 pump at Wal-Mart for $204. It came with three chokes. It's available in youth model (shorter) and regular model for the same price.
The Remington 870 pump is about $275 at Wal-Mart and is also a great gun. You can get a single shot for about $100. Semi-autos will be more expensive.
These are all new guns. Used guns should be cheaper.

Wow. Depends. You can get a used junk one for $100 or spend 1000's on a few different ones. If you just want a decent one for general bird hunting, you can do just fine for $250-300

LOL, how long is a rope? You can get a used one, out of the classifieds or at a gunshow for around $100. New, you can get a mossberg for $200.
