I don't know of any kit made to fit the Taurus with digital climate controls. Installing a new head unit in these vehicles usually requires finding another place to mount it.

Edit: Cplkittle: the kit you linked is for a Taurus with rotary-knob climate controls. Some Taurus models use push-buttons instead of knobs; there are no kits (as far as I know) for those vehicles.

Yes, but they are expensive.
The entire black football shaped piece is replaced. The mounting kit includes the climate controlls, you just put the knobs back on. The wiring kit is included with the mounting kit.

Check your local salvage yards and see if you can get one off another car.
