Ive been working out in the gym for a few months now and i can see that ive gained good muscle mass. But i also look stockier now, and guess wud become more stockily built in the next few months if i continue. But i want to have a lean masculine frame. My work out schedule for the week is shoulder, biceps, chest, lats and triceps, biceps, chest, rest (with abs included every other day).... should i reduce my chest workouts and do more lats? or should i do more cardio? will swimming 30mins a day after workouts help?

A lot of people (especially women) shy away from lifting weight because they think they will become to bulky. It is important to remember that although muscle weighs more than fat in your body it takes up less space. Most people become stockier because they are packing lean muscle mass but not losing the fat. Once you lose the excess fat you will become more lean and your muscle definition will increase. You can lose the fat by including more cardio and eating sensibly.

One of the leanest bodies of all times had to belong to the late Bruce Lee, an American-Chinese martial artist, instructor and actor.
According to the articles he wrote and published prior to his demise, Mr. Lee ran and used a stationary cycle, he jumped rope, did isometrics, stretched and pratice martial arts for hour each day. He also consumed as healthy a diet as he was able to, trying to eat natural foods as much as possible.

Then there is Mikhal Barishnkov, the famed Russian ballet dancer. He eats resonable well, stretches, performs some non-weight resistance exercises and dances for four to eight hours each day.

The answer seems to be "MOVE" in an extreme cardio vascular manner, with and emphasis on aerobic fitness, using weights as an adjunct or training aid to supplement your aerobic cardio activities. This will alow you to burn more calories than you are presently consuming, which will reduce your body fat per centage and will provide you with the look you are after.

So go to the gym twice a week for a full body work out each time. Four days a week take ballet lessons, or tae kwon do lessons for several hours each session. During your off time, jump rope, run sprints and distance and STRETCH! Watch your diet eating only natural foods and restirict your intake to less than 2,000 total calories per day. Drink lots of water.

Good luck.

If you want to be more lean rather than bulky, you should mix in more cardio with your workout routine.

the key to lean structure is not to use too much of weight. concentrate on movement and do more repititions. also, you must include lot of free exercises. there are plenty of exercises whch you can include - push ups, pull up,parallel dips , free squats etc. the idea is to strengthen the muscles. you can take help of your gym trainer. you must also try to include machines like cross trainer etc. as far as weight training goes, you can move to certain exercises which are done on machines rather than free weight like shoulder press etc.

V shape body is ideal, that is chest measurements should be bigger than your waist.
