if you are just getting in, or just recently married, you must provide a copy of her Social Security card and the marriage certificate ( NOT the License!) in order to get her entered into DEERS.
once that is accomplished, all she will need is a picture ID if you accompany her to get her ID. If you will not be able to accompany here, then the ID office willhave a form for you to fillout and send toher. Then she willneed to call up the office she plans on going to and finding out what they require.

Take a copy of your marriage certificate to the ID Section and register her in DEERS. Once this is done, she can get her ID card.
Without the ID Card, she is not eligible to enter the installation, go shopping at the PX or Commissary, she won't be seen for medical or dental, she won't be able to access a variety of facilities on the installation.

The same office that gave you your ID card when you in-processed to your unit will give it to her. As long as she's listed as your spouse on your ERB, it should be as easy as showing up and showing her state issued driver's license. If you just got married, you'd probably just go to your unit's S-1 office, give them a copy of the marriage license and get her on the ERB. Then go to the ID office.
But there will definitely be people in your unit who know for sure. Call your JAG legal services office and they'll tell you.

I don't think you need much.....my dad got me and my brother one. I think you just have to be a certain age, but it might be a good idea to bring a few documants like a birth certificate or social security card.

If she is entered into the DEERS system, you don't need anything. If not, I think you just need a copy of the marriage certificate.
