Think about it this way, Christians are not allowed to kill other people it's written literally in STONE in their book. Now, look at history, how many times have they broke THAT rule, that was written in STONE. Do you think eating pork is really that high of a priority? If murder and genocide is NEGOTIABLE, where does that put eating pork?

Leviticus chapter 11 lists the dietary restrictions God gave to the nation of Israel. The dietary rules were never intended to apply to anyone other than Israel. Jesus later declares all foods clean (Mark 7:19). God gave the apostle Peter a vision in which He declares concerning formerly unclean animals, “Do not call anything impure that God has made clean” (Acts 10:15). When Jesus died on the cross, He put an end to the Old Testament law (Romans 10:4; Galatians 3:24-26; Ephesians 2:15). This includes the laws regarding clean and unclean foods.

Most of todays Christians are not of Jewish descent. The laws of the OT were for the Jews, not Gentiles. The Gentiles never had any such dietary restrictions.
Moreover, no one is still required to keep the OT laws. The word testament means a covenant (agreement or contract) between humans and God. With the NT we have a new covenant with God and that new agreement has only two commandments:
Mat 22:36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
Mat 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
Mat 22:38 This is the first and great commandment.
Mat 22:39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Mat 22:40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Could someone please quote the scripture where this is mentioned, I read the bible often, and have never come across it, I would imagine if it is there it is in the old testament, in saying this I however do not eat any pork, bacon, ham not to the fact that it is prohibited, but due to the fact that I do not like the taste, which is the same with all meat, I am vegeterian.
Thanks to Mr Yesterday & Robert S for providing scripture regarding this, and to the_crickets answers,God bless you all

It was the old law. Old testament. Nothing to do with Christians.
For alias, below:
"And the swine, because it divideth the hoof, yet cheweth not the cud, it is unclean unto you: ye shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their dead carcas.” Deuteronomy, 14:8
Also, for anyone who wonders about OLD vs. NEW testament: "What Laws Changed? The Mosaic Law, also called the Old Covenant, was replaced by Jesus Christ with the New Covenant. The Mosaic Law includes all of the rules about the sacrifices, priests, temple, tabernacle, food, capital punishment, and how to handle disease. Then after Jesus died, God replaced the Old Covenant with a new one called the New Covenant. He eliminated all of the old rules. In Hebrews 8, God says that the Old Covenant or Mosaic Law was going to be replaced. The Old Covenant was going away or growing old and it was ready to vanish." -- from http://www.neverthirsty.org/pp/corner/read1/r00441.html

It is not prohibited by the New Testament, the law we are living under. Certain religious groups still follow the old laws despite the following verse.
"Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:" 1 Timothy 4:1-4
Does the above sound like any religious groups you know of? By doing these things, "Forbidding to marry, commanding to abstain from meats", they are called people who are following doctrines of devils and speaking lies.

Because of these passages:
Matthew 15:10-12
Jesus called the crowd to him and said, "Listen and understand. What goes into a man's mouth does not make him 'unclean,' but what comes out of his mouth, that is what makes him 'unclean.' "
Mark 7:14-16
Again Jesus called the crowd to him and said, "Listen to me, everyone, and understand this. Nothing outside a man can make him 'unclean' by going into him. Rather, it is what comes out of a man that makes him 'unclean.' "
Acts 10:13-15
Then a voice told him, "Get up, Peter. Kill and eat."
"Surely not, Lord!" Peter replied. "I have never eaten anything impure or unclean."
The voice spoke to him a second time, "Do not call anything impure that God has made clean."
Romans 14:13-15
Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in your brother's way. As one who is in the Lord Jesus, I am fully convinced that no food is unclean in itself. But if anyone regards something as unclean, then for him it is unclean. If your brother is distressed because of what you eat, you are no longer acting in love. Do not by your eating destroy your brother for whom Christ died.
Does that answer your question? :)

Gods dietary restrictions were to the Jewish peoples in the old testament. Jesus came and according to the new testament he gave the gospel (good news) and made many of the religious restrictions of the old testament obsolete.
