i understand, u want to back up ur WIN xp present in ur PC.. as the previous answer states u can use Symantec Ghost. but its charged to use this software.. So try trial version (coz u gonna use it once) Alcohol 120% (www.alcohol-soft.com) and make a .ISO image (a replica of the files present in ur HD) of ur WIN XP.. then it shud be fine and work as a WIN XP boot cd wud do. Simple Mate :)

You cant do it that way, you need the manufacture restore CD or a XP installation CD, either should came with your computer

If you want to backup your current Windows, try www.acronis.com (Home version) or www.symantec.com (Ghost)
