How much sweating would you have to do at night to be worried about night sweats? I just got diagnosed with a infection from my doctor. I'm not sweating profusely and it's only my underarms and feet that are sweating. My hands are kinda clammy, thats it though. I do think I am a Hypochondriac. I for some reason keep thinking I have Leukemia but my parents, aunt(a nurse) and doctor all laughed at me. I started taking my antibiotics a day and half ago and nothing seems improved yet. I have one swollen lymph node on the right side of my neck(not both). My spleen felt good until I read about it being a syndrome, now I think my mind is making it have a pain every now and again. I also am worried cause I don't have a fever. I haven't lost weight or anything either. I haven't been sick lately at all. I don't have any lumps under my arms. I have had chills, nausea, and on and off headache. But those have been scarce since I started my medicine.
Sorry for rambling
Should I be worried?

No your doctor has already diagnosed you with an infection. My guess is that whats causing the night sweats. It takes anywhere from 3 days to up to 10 days for the antibiotics to start working so be patient.

Night Sweats, how much would cause concern?
I wake up with a 'swimming pool' of water on my chest and I always manage to spill it on vacating the bed. I am drenched, to the extent I need to change the bed and my PJ's. However, I am not worried or concerned. The Body has the ability to self-regulate and as I have Arthritis, Psoriasis, benign blood problem and going through the menopause, reckon my sweating is all part of life.
No I do not think you need to be worried.

I seem to wake up in a sweat a lot, but I'm also, often on the floor, tangled up in sheets, and what the heck are those mens shoes doing there? Dallas

I wouldnt worry too much, give the medicine time to work. then if you still seriously think something is wrong with you be persistant, only you know what you feel the doctors or family dont know what hurts and what doesnt. but you should be honest about it. Like you said you might afterall just be a Hypochondriac.
