we all get depressed from time to time. there may be past experiences that happened at this same time of the year that are now affecting your subconcious. it may be a chemical imbalance. it may be from not getting enough sun light and vitamin d. it could be hormonal or a lack of certain minerals and vitamins. iron deficiency anemia is common amoung women and it leaves you feeling drained and frumpy. go have some blood tests done. if so, take some multivitamins with iron and eat greens. try getting exercise cause it increase the "feel good hormones" in your brain. rule out a medical cause. some people suffer from a condition called dysthymia which is just minor depressive episodes. there are lots of antidepressant drugs that can help short term or long term. it may just be that there are things you need to get off your chest and talking it out can help.

feelings are very hard to understand and narrow it down to the very simplest variables. you don;t need to understand why, because it is very complicated, and subconscious. when you do you're research, it will tell you that it is part chemsity, and part human experience. so what. that doesn't give any answers.

what you should concentrate on, is what can i do to make things better. maybe make little changes, do something that gives you some kind of purpose, and maybe get on medication to give that little kick that you need so that you can actively do something about it.

i don't have the answer for you, and no one can give it to you. you have to find it on your own, but my advice is that please don't dwell on the reasons why you feel the way you do, because you will never find out.

depression has a bad appearance, it looks dark and feels bad. but it is good for you, it makes you question, and questions lead you to investigate, and then test, and then find answers, and then have clarity. it is a start for a journey that will make you grow.

have hope.

you did not elaborate the specific instances of your depressions, there may be many reasons though not evident to you. what i can think of right now is boredom from daily routines. you're life's too good and may be you're seeking challenges. why not get into sports or develop some skills which will be a challenge for you to achieve. better yet, take your family to places you've never been, have some moments to share. good luck!

It sounds like you need to talk with someone that you trust..
Don't feel that you don't 'deserve' to feel the way you do. There are so many reasons why you feel like this. Maybe counselling would help. There you can focus completely on yourself and whatever it is that is missing in your life..

sounds like you are bored and need to get in touch with the right side of your brain, something creative like painting, poetry or music....something selfish that you and only you can love

off hand, I'd say most unexplained bouts of the blues, are due to unresolved issues.
