One of the things that I think is most remarkable about God is that he blesses us, although we don't do anything to deserve it. Abraham wasn't a Patriarch because he was the most worthy man in the world. That's the point of grace. But Abraham was faithful to God. Still a sinner, but he believed God, even when God told him to expect extraordinary things (like the birth of a son when both he and Sarah were quite old).
Abraham didn't use Sarah as a prostitute. He passed her off as his sister (and some scholars believe she was a half-sister) because he believed their lives would be in danger if their marital status was known. They were aliens in a foreign land, at that point.
Also, God did not instruct him to do this. Many believe Abraham specifically sinned against God when he did this.
Abraham didn't sacrifice Isaac. Thank goodness, or his line would have ended there!
The people of Egypt weren't innocent. They had enslaved the Israelites for generations and refused to let them take time off to worship their God.
God didn't cast original sin on mankind.
God didn't brutally torture and kill Jesus Christ, we did.
I must respectfully disagree with almost all of your statements.
But I would by lying if I didn't have questions for God, too.
That's where faith comes in.
The Bible says, "Come, let us reason together." You don't have to stop questioning God to accept Him. If you step out in faith and ask God these questions, you'll find him true. You can discover his true character if you read his word and try to discern its true meaning (in context) and apply it to your life. God is bigger than any doubts any of us have.

The observe “faith” is the Greek observe “Pistis” and it ability “conviction of the certainty”. The observe “Blind” is a Contradictory term with the observe “faith” via fact as a fashion to have “faith” with the aid of the very definition of the observe a individual could desire to have “conviction of the certainty”. despite the fact that, that does no longer propose that one needs to understand each little thing… whilst God instructed Abraham that he grew to become into going to have a son, the Bible says: "Abraham Believed God and it grew to become into counted to him for Righteousness". Abraham did no longer recognize ways that grew to become into going to ensue, yet he Believed that God could do it. faith is in basic terms Believing What God stated is real.

I don't believe one should have /blind/ faith in anything.
I'm not a Christian, but every one of these stories can and does take on different meanings to people who have faith. It's not as simple as you make it out to be. If these are reasons enough for you to discard the Christian faith, so be it.
But please, learn some tolerance while you're at it and quit being a missionary for the other side.

the bible was written by men. men who gave their own interpretation to the events that happened at the time. it has also been edited by religious institutions to create certain reactions and to keep the masses docile. its not a good idea to take things too literally. God is an individual experience and for most of us it takes a while before we find our own peace with the concept of God. invest in reading about different religions, cultures and spirituality, somewhere along the road you'll find the answers your looking for.

I would never want to be a member of a group whose symbol is a guy nailed to two pieces of wood.....We created god in our own image and likeness!...not the other way around...
Ask yourself whether the dream of heaven and greatness should be waiting for us in our graves--or whether it should be ours here and now and on this earth......Faith is the worst curse of mankind, as the exact antithesis and enemy of thought.....Thinking men cannot be ruled...

Faith is not blind. It is built on knowledge of what God has done in the past and the present. That is how you learn to trust anyone. We have faith in a contractor because he has delivered in the past. we believe he will deliver in the future because of his past record.
We have faith in God because of His.

You ask some intriguing questions, but you're wrong in assuming that faith is blind. You don't think believers grapple with these issues and ask themselves these questions all the time? In spite of it, we choose to have faith.

Blind faith ? No !
2 Timothy 3:16,17 doesn't say that you have to have blind faith...but in order to have it, you need to study the Bible.

From my experience, I'm not required to follow God blindly. Instead, I am supposed to love Him.
Jesus didn't die to erase original sin. Jesus died so you don't have to die for your sins. Jesus died so you can enjoy a fulfilling life in God. Wouldn't you like that?
I don't know what Bible you're reading, or from what source you get your information, all I know is you're missing a wonderful life with God.
