God changes DNA to make it look like Amer-indians are from central Asia, not Palestine. He also erases any evidence of their culture so the faithful can be even more faithful. He also messes with the melanin. Melanin comes in two types: pheomelanin (red) and eumelanin (dark brown to nearly black). Both amount and type are determined by four to six genes. None of this matters to the mormon church.
Funny thing about mDNA: Mormon attorneys love it to 'prove' paternity, but it's becomes a false science the moment the BoM is involved.

mDNA or any DNA can't prove or disprove the Book of Mormon. You can't take the DNA of TODAY'S Jews and TODAY'S native Americans, and say that this proves that today's Native Americans are not descended from the Nephites/Lamanites/Lehites/any other ites from the Book of Mormon. You would need the DNA of Lehi and his family, and the DNA of Moroni and all the Lamanites at the end of the Book of Mormon to even BEGIN to have a REAL scientific finding of this magnitude.
