30 mins is fine. Perhaps you could add some resistance training 2 times per week . You do not need weights as you can use your own bodyweight. Lunges, squats, crunches, push ups and dips are all great.

Sorry, when I read your question I thought you were speaking of lifting weights. I was going to recommend that you read the writings of Author Jones (the inventor of Nautlius equipment), his former assistant Ellington Darden and MIke Mentzer as lifting four to six times a week might well be excessive depending upon what you were tyring to accomplish.
As to aerobic training, according to latest guidelines, your doing great and right on track. Accompnay what you are doing with a good diet and adequate rest and your heart should be very strong and healthy.
What I might recommend is that you do aerobic three times a week and at least some light weight resistance training three times a week (enjoy one day off from everything one day a week). A nice curcuit training would compliment your current aerobic activities.
Good luck and good health.

dude, i've struggled for years to answer that question. well, i'm gonna have to say that i've found a really effective way to do so, and the best thing is that it really suits lifestyles, because i could tell, ok go the gym every day for 5 hours and sure you'll have ripped abs and so on. But for busy people, who have a life like me there's an easier way. First , diet is the most important factor, I don't want to talk about the scientific facts, i would spend the whole day here. What you have to do is eat no carbs, no more than 50 grams (avoid sugar please) for 3 days, and drink a lot of water, and if possible try to eat often, and shut meals down at night. Don't you really worry about calories, you will find yourself eating less than usual, because avoiding carbs makes you feel full, really. But the MOST important thing here is your fourth day. Don't skip it, it's important. So 3 days of no carbs and then you have a day where you have to eat carbs, try to go with good carbs though, like non refined carbs. if not, don't worry, you can cheat, but it would be better to do it early in the day. you know brown rice, etc.. have a nice day with a big lasagna or soemthing, don't you think that you could skip this step, if you do so, your metabolism will go down, and it could be REALLY bad. and finally what i do before a go to bed, i workout, you know, pushups, pullups, i use dumbells, but since i like tone and not size, i don't do too much weight,, try to reach 30 reps and y go slow and smooth. That's it, to keep your muscles active and your metabolism high. Hoep it helps, you 'll find yourself much better, don't trust the scale, trust your eyes. good luck

I 'm certain your progress is great ..you could at this stage add some strength training since our bodies get accoustomed to a particular type of exercise and then the results ar not as desired ,,,you've not mentioned your age for that's a factor in determining the kind of strength training you'd be best suited for ...stick to the programe though and take one day at a time ..
I 'm hoping the link below would help you ..
all the best

Well i read in a book about it it said.....Get at least 30 minutes of vigorous aerobic exercise 3 days per week.
but the important thing is "Do not overexercise. Avoid stressful athletic injuries and exhaustion.
you should take breaks during the day to relax and renew your energies.
you are in beginner so you should start with light exercises and day by day improve it.

if you are trying to lose weight you should try to do more than 30min because first 20-30min body burns carbs and only then starts burning fat so ideally you have to do 45min cardio.

that's plenty. good job. you should never expect (or want) drastic changes to happen overnight. your body would completely freak out if it did.
