I really want to join the Air Force as an officer but the recruiter that handles the officer candidates hasn't gotten back to me. It was the same thing with the Navy. The recruiting offices are for enlisted only. Any help in speeding up the process? I want to go ASAP. I have a college degree by the way.

Hello, I am not sure what area you live in but I know the Navy needs officers. I was a Navy recruiter for 3 years. If you can let me know where you live I will do everything I can to get an officer recruiter to contact you. You can also go to your nearest recruiter office and have the recruiter's there call the officer recruiter for you. What is your degree in? I am in Spain but if you really want to join and are interested in the Navy I will help you as much as I can.

Both the AF and Navy are downsizing. Unless you have spectacular credentials, chances are, an Officer recruiter will NOT chase you down, you will have to do all the work yourself. This shows intiative. Have you Googled Officer Recruiters? have you done any reasearch on your own via the official websites?

To be competitive:

a 3.5 or higher GPA in a technical Major, such as Mathmatics or Engineering. Leadership roles on and off campus. Volunteerism. sports. Be otherwise qualified, phyiscally and morally.

Exactly which Community are you wanting to get into? Pilot slots are few and far between, and the standards are higher than most other Commuities.

Here you go: Find out where the local offices higher HQ is and call them. They are trying to get you to go enlisted as it helps them. In the Army the local recruiters can put you in as an officer unlike the AF or Navy. Good Luck

You should have joined ROTC in college

If you somehow manage to get into the Air Force as an officer, you will be looked down upon by your peers.

I can only say that both the USAF and the USN have been releasing their officers, so they may not need any right now. It could also be that your particular degree/skill is not needed.

Have you checked with the Army?
