Here's the thing. i like guys who are popular and confident. i know this seems lame, but it's true. I'm usually pretty crazy, but only around people who know me or i don't care what their judgement of me is. However, when im around the more "popular" guys, or even girls, i never seem to act like myself.
Anyone else like this?
Any Advice?

I think you should go out with guys you're comfortable with. If confidence is all the guys you know are missing, you might be able to give them a nudge in the right direction with some well-placed compliments and attention. Then they'd adore you and you'd get to feel good about making someone else feel better. And you'd also have some attractive guys in your circle of friends. That's something I just thought of a while back though, so you might have to try it a couple of times to see if it works. Good night!

You just have to find out who you are and just be it. no matter what your interests are and whether a popular person agrees with them or not, they really admire you for feeling so strong and comfortable with it - because they are surreounded in fake people so much
For example im a good looking 19 year old who looks like a popular type etc, but I am a computer nerd, love gaming and anime.. and when I proudly state this to new people they are fascinated and really admire that Im so proud of it - which I am. And I am like that with my nerdier friends with more "popular things" that nerds dont like.. Im a stereotypical nothing. You dont have to be one thing. Dont be a stereotypical anythign and be proud of it. Just be who you are. and youd be surprised how many people respect and admire you for it

You feel that you do not measure up to them. What makes them so popular and special is that they have plenty of self confidence. Learn to feel good about yourself, and you won't feel so uncomfortable.

a person who's able to act like herself all the time is either superbly confident or supremely dumb.
unless you're oprah or "socially blind" - it is normal to have moments like that. don't break a sweat over it.
