Hi I'm a 26 yr old male and for the past year, my stomach has felt tight and uncomfortable. Sometimes it feels really bloated. It's so uncomfortable that I'm constantly aware of it and it makes me feel depressed and run down. I feel full sometimes even when I'm hungry, which causes me not to eat or to skip meals. Has anyone heard of anything like this or experienced anything like this? I'd really like to fix this problem!

Have your gall bladder checked for gallstones. These can often cause upper abdominal discomfort and bloating, especially when you eat. I know this because the same thing was happening to me. I had my gallbladder out--the surgeon used a laparascope, and I had 4 very small (1 inch or less) incisions. I had it on a Thursday and was back to work on Tuesday, and I've never had that problem again. It was amazing.

They diagnose it using an ultrasound, so there's no pain or complicated test involved. The sooner you do it, the better you'll feel. Good luck.

uhh, I'll assume you've been to a doctor to figure this out and didn't help.

have you been doing any kind of extraneous activity? sports, exercise, etc?

It might possibly be the food you eat, unless it's the same kind you usually eat long before this happened.

I've never experienced this except when i'm really nervous about something going on in the future...

could be stress too. the last thing i'd say probably cause it is just that you think you feel it and so you're body creates the feelings.

It can also be a result of parasites and worms. Many years ago the U.S. use to require people to be de-wormed and I know for a fact that my mother use to give us castor oil and other things that would totally clean us out.
Sometimes if you feel bloated, a tight belly, uncomfortable, this can be the cause. Garlic can both kill and expel any worms you may have in your system so its a good idea to start adding this to your diet but in the meantime do go to a doctor and get a ct scan of your abdomen. Take a blood test for worms or parasites and good luck.

You've either gained weight so your pants are tight on you, or you're constipated. You should be going at least 4 times a week. If you're constipated I can rectify(excuse the pun) that for you. I'm an authority on that subject. Let me know.
