Well man was created in God's image. That means we were given qualities like that of God. We can love, we create,(not life but things like music, art, and things we need), we have a sense of justice, and we have free will because God has free will, Hosea 14:4, we can make choices, we are not programmed.

Judas had the free will 1.to remain a disciple of Jesus and do the work he was supposed to do or 2. betray Jesus so Jesus could be killed. Noah was told to build an ark. He was told hoe big to build it and to gather up a male and female animal of every kind. Noah could have said "No, that's too much work, it will take way to long to do, I don't feel like doing all that stuff" Or-Noah could say OK and build the ark. We know what course he chose. By the way, people made fun of him while he was doing this. Wonder what they thought when it started to rain? These are just two examples. There are many others. .

I disagree with you that Adam and Eve ever had free will. In theological terms, free will has to do with the ability to look to God for salvation, since Adam and Eve had full fellowship with God before the fall, there was no need for free will. Afterwards, they lost that fellowship, and from that point on it was up to God to work in the hearts of men, and again, no free will, we do not have that ability. We are totally depraved. To believe that we have any ability at all, even a spark of ability, elevates us to the capabilities of God himself, and I find that arrogant, humanist, even blasphemous that we would be able to put our foot on the neck of God to tell him what to do with our lives.

Only in freedom can man direct himself toward goodness. Our contemporaries make much of this freedom and pursue it eagerly; and rightly to be sure. Often however they foster it perversely as a license for doing whatever pleases them, even if it is evil. For its part, authentic freedom is an exceptional sign of the divine image within man. For God has willed that man remain "under the control of his own decisions,"(Sir. 15:14) so that he can seek his Creator spontaneously, and come freely to utter and blissful perfection through loyalty to Him. Hence man's dignity demands that he act according to a knowing and free choice that is personally motivated and prompted from within, not under blind internal impulse nor by mere external pressure. Man achieves such dignity when, emancipating himself from all captivity to passion, he pursues his goal in a spontaneous choice of what is good, and procures for himself through effective and skilful action, apt helps to that end. Since man's freedom has been damaged by sin, only by the aid of God's grace can he bring such a relationship with God into full flower. Before the judgement seat of God each man must render an account of his own life, whether he has done good or evil.(2 Cor. 5:10)

I'm not sure exactly what you are asking but if you are asking how you can know that it was not just Adam and Eve that had free will...then here goes.
You are a human being. You are linked to all other human beings through Adam and Eve. Why would you be any different?

Deuteronomy 30: 11-20
Choose Life.
There is a choice.
I agree we are all sinners and slaves to sin. But God's grace allows us choice. Prevenient Grace ( I posted in the other question you had.)

i'm not sure i can 'so' you where 'any one' had opposable thumbs, either...but i'm pretty sure that, being human, they did...the whole 'free will' thing is like that, too...are you just not getting it?
