My boyfriend and I broke up for a year -- In that time we didnt talk because it was a fairly bad breakup. We got back in touch and started to date again. I heard from an anonomous source that he fooled around with alot of girls and talked badly about me during our breakup. Should I have gotten back together with him?

I also heard that not only did he badmounth me, he talked crudely about me and told people alot of intimate details about our relationship. Is getting back together with an ex ever a good idea?

Look at it this way. People say plenty of things that they don't mean when they have a bad break up.

I would, however, discuss this with him.. Tell him how badly it hurt you. Ask him that if something like that ever happens again, would he just not say anything if he can't say anything good.

By the way, I sure hope for your sake that he used protection when he doing all of that fooling around. If not you may have a bigger problem then just nasty words on your hands!!

honestly that behavior has no barring on your relationship NOW since most people bad mouth an ex, because they're hurt. If he didn't break an legal laws, I wouldn't even bother trying to learn what he did while you were apart. It's just painful to know your man was with someone else, but understandable. If you want to continue a relationship, let it go.

Nope, he could do it again. You can't trust a guy like that anymore. He could've changed but who knows. Talk to him about it, but for me i wouldn't make that kind of move. Good luck though.

Personally, I don't think so. I wouldn't of wanted to date a person that has bad-mouth me. They could of lied, or he might not mean it anymore. Ask him.
