I agree with the answer above but I wanted to add that if you just want the exfoliation, you can just mix some sugar into your regular facial cleanser.

One homemade sugar scrub that I use sometimes is:

2 T. granulated sugar, or until desired consistency
2 tsp. lemon juice
1 T. olive oil

Mix it up, scrub, leave for 5 minutes, rinse with warm water. Works wonders for dry flaky skin.

Don't bother adding the almond extract - it won't do anything for your skin. Almond extract is only for flavor & scent.

To make a scrub drizzle olive oil into 1-1.5 cups of sugar to make a paste. Make as needed.

However, do not use this unless you have really dry skin.

grind up oatmeal into a fine powder, mix with warm milk and honey and apply to ur face as a mask for 10 minutes with a warm cloth will do amazing things for ur skin, adding moisture and healing properties dont use a scrub on the face, use a gommage such as yonka or a soft peel, harsh exfoliants can damage the skin

If sugar scrub is for your face.

Then salt scrub is for my face.
