A blackjack is when you receive a face card, 10-J-Q-K, and an Ace for your first two cards. Aces for your first two cards would have a total of 2 or 12 due to the aces face value being either 1 or 11. Your best odds if you get 2 aces is to split them.

If you are playing you immediately turn over the two cards. However, if the "house" also has a two-card 21 you tie. Before the house turns over the card, they will ask for insurance. Say, "even money" and then you win double your bet not double and one-half.

Two aces should be turned over and double the bet. Then you get one card only on each ace, no second chance.
