Just to give you a little detail - my hair is naturally curly and therefor naturally dry, brittle, course, etc!!!! I have used a VARIETY of products from the very cheap to the very expensive and so far the only product range (yes, RANGE) that works WONDERS for my unruly hair is the REDKEN range. It may cost more than your chemist products, but if you have difficult hair - there is help!!!!

I use atleast 6 different shampoos ...All in the bathroom. I feel if you only use one shampoo on your hair...After sometime the hair does not feel as good as it did in the begining of the use of the shampoo because of product buildup. And you need to wash that off with the use of another shampoo to better results. So far my favorites are AVON, Sunsilk, Vatika, head & shoulders, Herbal Essence and Revive.

I really like Herbal Essences' Pin straight shampoo. It has a great fruity smell and keeps my hair soft.

any pantene pro v product or conditioner. it might be a little bit more expensive than the others but it s worth it! gets rid of spilt ends ( for the most part) makes my hair feel soo good and smeeling great. i always get compliments saying that my hair feels and smells good. but if you have thicker hair you definitaly have to use the conditior becaue it makes it feel silky smooth!
