I mean he loved everyone, healed all he came in contact with, and even forgave from the cross those who brutilly beat and murdered them, and prayed for them...
look what he said in John 1518"If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. 19If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you. 20Remember the words I spoke to you: 'No servant is greater than his master.'[b] If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also. 21They will treat you this way because of my name, for they do not know the One who sent me
yet they couldn't see his love.

I believe he is alive! and my point is how someone so wonderful can be in your midst and you still can't see the forrest for the trees.

Politics. Jesus presence and his message took power away from those in power. That is why he was hated and killed. I believe however that God knew what would happen and used Jesus for his purpose...to give us a second chance at following Him.

well, for one thing, He taught a radical idea-that the ordinary person had value and was truly loved by God...He even taught people to pray simply and directly to God, without any intermediary, and he taught that He was the way to salvation, not some arcane rituals performed in an ornate temple outfitted in gold, lorded over by priests in fancy robes-the leaders of the dominant religion just hated that...they could not accept the idea that someone might find salvation without their intervention and control-
there's a lot of that going on these days, too

Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of the world cometh, and hath nothing in me. -John 14:30.
The rulers of the world, and especially the devil, had nothing in common or interest with what Jesus was teaching. This is the exact reason that he was killed.

thats a good question. how could people be so brutal and hateful to a man who only taught love, peace and forgiveness. jesus faced that without question because it was gods will and to save the world, that the bible might be fufilled. the bible says there it had to be, one sacerfice for all men one time. satan thought he won, because he doesnt know gods ways or plans and there had to be the perfect sacerfice for one time for all mankind. thank you god for son jesus and for the great and final sacerfice . the greatest man who ever lived , the greatest man who still lives . praise god and thank you my wonderful holy perfect savior. i love you jesus, thank you lord

For the time he was a radical and revolutionary - and that made him dangerous to the status quo.
Y'know, couldn't possibly have all those peasant types believing they were actually worth something now, could we?
we often kill what we don't understand.

Jesus was killed out of fear and for the Sanhedrin (sp.) to maintain control of the population...that's what the prophets said would happen, it was God's will.

jesus was killed because he was ruining the roman empire. you HAD to be destroyed. they didnt NEED to see his love or his hippy mambo jambo.. all they NEEDED to see was that roman followers were looking to a new 'leader' who was pulling them away from traditional roman beliefs. the only way to solve the problem and unite everyone again was to kill jesus.
