would you find this odd? or if not odd, what do you make of it?

My ex and i still talk. its a long story, but both of us have tried leaving each other alone, but we always end up talking again. regardless of who initiates the conversation, we always talk, no matter how long it has been since we last talked. as of late we are getting on rather well. he is in a relationship. however, he still makes comments to me that a person shouldnt make if he is in a commited relationship. he always talks to me hours longer than he intends to (he will tell me he has to leave, then talk to me for another hour and a half, he has been late to work because he is talking to me). now, we have gone out to coffee, nothing more (i swear, nothing more) and the same thing will happen, he will say he has to go because he has plans, but then he will cancel his plans to hang out with me longer. all this from the guy who said he would never get back together with me. what gives?

i have a life, trust me i do. i am in a relationship as well. i dont make any of the same comments to him, and if i have to leave to go somewhere, i leave, i dont hang out for a bunch more hours

i do have a life, trust me i really really do. i just dont get what could be going on in his head that he would do this. and boys say girls are complicated...idk, i guess i just want to know how to get him to own up to what he is saying, because confronting him about this sort of thing is harder than nailing jello to a wall
