My thoughts on Fred Phelps? Well he seems like a person who is not in touch fully and consciously aware of his anger. I think he just needs to become consciously aware of his anger and to discover it's roots so that he can then release it from his spirit and be at peace. I think he is deluded himself into the illusion that his suffering is somehow the fault of others when it is in fact a complete refusal to awaken to Reality. He needs to search inward to discover the root of his anger, to discover his real Self, and to become awakened to Reality. Until then the reality that his ego projects will always clash with Reality and he will suffer. However I see the gap between his imagination (ego created reality) and Reality growing rather than shrinking and as this occurs so too does his anger grow and his peace shrink.

But that's my own humble opinion.

I think Phelps is a psychologically maladjusted individual. He is reported to have been extremely abusive to his wife and children, and has quite a long list of groups and people that he hates. But he really hit the jackpot with his anti-gay campaign, because it got him the most news coverage. He's a sociopath and a notorious media whore.

I am angry that he has hijacked the name of Jesus, our Christ and given Christianity a poor image.

Fred Phelps is a "Phelpian." He is not a Christian!

Fred Phelps is the closest thing to a True Christian there has been since the Dark Ages. Don't believe me? Read your damn bibles.
